We call old-fashioned stoves with a resistive spiral a ceramic plate here, while induction stoves are never referred to as a ceramic plate. Might not be technically correct, but that’s language for you I guess.

Ah, TIL that the electric family was even larger than that. Thanks for the addition.

Electric stoves come in two forms though: ceramic, where you have an old-fashioned spiral which heats up the plate your pan sits on and plainly sucks imho. Or induction which heats your pan directly though an electromagnetic field. The latter is more efficient and modern cast iron pans work perfectly fine on them, no need for an enamel coating
Last few years I alternated between induction and gas due to moving around, induction is a clear winner for me.

Same error here. I can’t access their home page either, so it’s probably a geoblock.

So, that turd was stuck in there. Really stuck, like an immigrant in an ICE facility. I’m pushing down on the little vandal, like with the BEST push, when it suddenly popped and slid out.
At least that’s my take on this, haven’t watched it with sound to prevent my brain cells from committing suicide.
Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Founded by Nazis, but abandoned during the war and revived by British army officer Ivan Hirst whom both saw the potential for turning it into a workshop and building new vehicles for the British occupation forces.
After the war it was used by REME (Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) to repair British army vehicles, and it was used to build new vehicles. It was handed over to West Germany in september 1949.
The company as we know it today therefore effectively has more British roots than Nazi ones.
Katze streicheln? Nah, I think that unit would prefer dat je de kat aait.

I didn’t had the time to go into that much detail, but that is correct. 🙂

The company actually inquired, our government said no. That’s what you get when capitalists are at the wheel and expect “the market” will magically solve everything.
The title is a bit misleading by the way, it’s about the company that hosts the infrastructure, Solvinity. The application itself is built and maintained by a government agency called Logius.

But how to sexualize male characters and do “fan service” for the female audience?
Easy, just add Caius Cosades to your game:

It moves the value of register (a CPU memory cell) rbx to register rax. It’s not that important though.
Basically the comic shows that the CPU is happily chugging along, executing instructions when suddenly the keyboard sends an interrupt telling the CPU it must stop all work and listen to whatever it has to say.
That was how keyboards worked before USB (back when they used PS/2 or DIN connectors). With USB it’s the other way around: the device gets polled X times per second to check if it has any data to send.

Not enough Social Credits? Well, looks like you better start learning how to use the seashells then.

Don’t forget to get your humors checked before deployment. We don’t want to have put the Iran invasion on hold due to a bad case of dysentery after all!

Definitely a dingleberry.

Experiences vary. My 67 year old mother requires my help every few months because Ubuntu managed to fuck up itself again. Or because she managed to do so. I wish I could switch her to something more stable (fuck, even Windows didn’t give here that much trouble back in the days), but due to an accident she can’t handle a change like that anymore. So fuck my life, I’m stuck with supporting that piece of shit excuse of a Linux distro.
So is comparing a Microsoft bug to the highlight of the Apollo project and conveniently ignoring all the setbacks that both led up to and followed it.
I don’t mind bashing Microsoft where warranted, but this just feels like cherry picking from a long list of technical and procedural failures.
Apollo 1:
Fire, I smell fire. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Outlook malfunctioning is extremely tame compared to the issues the early space program ran in to. Somehow this meme really rubs me the wrong way.
Piece of cake: just apply more C-4!
In my case Dutch, never realised it might differ across languages. Although in hindsight it makes sense, like you said: it’s all ceramic.
