Agreed, that’s why I went with 2026. Right up until Election Day 2024 I imagine people were still planning families, but once all those kids are born in 2025 I expect a drop off.
Bet that trend reverses by 2026

I feel like you could apply this to almost every societal crisis we’re facing. It’s like social media took every little crack in the foundation and turned it into a chasm.

If you’re a US citizen they can only hold you for 48 hours without pressing charges. I no longer have faith that limit will be enforced, but it’s there in theory.

Kinda my thinking, too.
If I know I’m going to see a judge, I might not force the issue if I think a cop is violating my rights. I’ll wait until the hearing and go from there. If I can’t count on seeing a judge, does it become my job to defend my rights?
I’m American: my dad told me a couple years ago that immigrants were “unclean.” I’m almost 40, and that was the first time he’d ever used that phrase. That’s probably the first time I realized how “mainstream” extremism had become, since he has virtually zero online presence.
