I’m sure the peeps at Valve are getting paid very well.

I mainly just make my own projects or fork and add to existing stuff, I figure as long as it’s MIT FOSS meh it kinda equals out.
I also only spend about 30 a month for two services and run a local one.
The amount of times I’ve had AI solve a problem my 30+ year senior couldn’t figure out on his own applications he’s been working on through that entire time…

Vivaldi just had a nice update with an auto-hide feature.
I am a fan of vertical tabs but usually it takes up a little too much left hand space for my liking so I’d semi-frequently be adjusting the size depending on if I needed it, now with the recent change all of it gets out if your way until you hover over there, I’m liking it a lot so far.
Both Chrome and Firefox’s vertical tabs are so much worse, Edge’s somehow the best out of the mainstream browsers imo.

Could have been the egyptians lol https://egyptfuntours.com/blog/cheetah-in-ancient-egypt/

NMS never had endless DLCs and microtransactions
Extremely conservative/risk averse and slow to implement basically anything new, unless it’s super flashy like AI lol

This but even beyond medical (though that’s probably the most egregious) same shit happens when people pool together to get any kind of cause and then someone turns around and thanks god. Like homie what about all the actual people who actually did the work?

If only laws could be changed
This is really cool in theory, I doubt my corp would let me use it though :(

Oh definitely, it was overwhelming at first for me too, but that’s how one learns imo
Now that I’ve been using it for a year and a half it’s much better but those first few months were quite the learning experience lol

Blue Maga always says that and yet they never put forward better candidates to solve the unelectability issue.

You realize the majority of left-leaning people who didn’t vote for Kamala/Hillary didn’t turn around and vote for Trump in turn right?
This is the “if you’re not with us you’re against us” mentality but the reality is the majority simply didn’t vote because they didn’t seem the benefit in doing so. What we need are stronger candidates with clear policy in order to get people excited to vote, or more importantly reform our voting from FPTP so that 3rd party candidates aren’t considered “spoilers”.

I remember doing this on an old Moto Atrix when it died midway through flashing Cyanogenmod

Haha I started on computers really young, so I got to experience a lot of the early 2000’s era internet.
I forgot about eDonkey, sharing forums are another, used to frequent astalavista forums lol.
You’re right about torrents though in general, really changed the sharing game.
I remember Firefox 2 having TABS, instead of a bunch of IE or Netscape windows lmao.
Trying to play warcraft 3 custom maps and getting booted from games because of dialup making the map download take forever (or a phone call mid-game causing me to lag out and get kicked).
I didn’t get cable/dsl until my parents divorced around 2008, I remember sitting in the corner of our empty house (they had to short sell it during the housing crisis and my mom took most of the furniture when she moved out) trying to connect to my neighbor friend’s wifi (that I had flashed ddwrt on lmao) with this windows 95 laptop I managed to flash Linux mint onto to make it usable just to watch some anime.
Fun times.

I’m not old! I’m still in my 30s 🥲
Yet I too did all of the above except winmx, I used limewire lol
They’re putting copilot in everything, it’s not just github that has copilot lmfao
