The asus zenfone would have the headphone jack. Don’t think it has an sd card slot though.

I’m pretty sure it was mainly to get rid of the exec that was leading the supercharger team because from what I remember she was doing a really good job and didn’t listen to him when he told her to lay people off or something. Yeah there are times where I’d want to make a community but the necessity of moderation makes it a big hurdle to even want to begin that process.

One suggestion I saw a while ago was to use more general communities for things you’re interested in and as it grows then the more niche communities can be made. Ex: post about a specific game you like in gaming up until enough people like it to make a sub for that game. Or post about a song you don’t know in asklemmy until enough people do that to make whatsthissong

I totally get wanting the niche communities and, personally, I just lurk reddit completely not voting, posting, or commenting unless as a last resort if I really need to find info that Lemmy isn’t able to provide.

It’s a slow process and I don’t think there’ll be another boost of users in Lemmy until reddit does another thing that enshittifies it to annoy people to leave.

I’d imagine you could probably get into the android developer settings and disable all the telemetry stuff through adb and install a custom launcher like projectivity and that’d be the closest you could get to running a custom tv OS at least if you can’t flash it.

Ah yeah I remember I had a service that had a delay with sending the 2fa code (can’t remember if it was email or sms) but it got to the point where it was basically gambling on if I’d get into the account on that day or not lol. If you’re using Android it’s more than likely just an OS issue. I have had a lot of issues on my phone trying to use passkeys let alone just the password manager.

I will say I kinda rolled my eyes at the end where he said he’d remake digg with ai but the idea of having comments be auto moderated to be detected as contributing to a conversation of the article vs attacking someone seemed interesting.

I want to start using eSIM but I keep hearing about issues with tethering and the phone reporting normal data usage as tethered so I’ve always avoided it due to that. My fear is at some point carriers charging a fee to switch the eSIM from one phone to another.
