Games@lemmy.world•AMD announce FSR Upscaling 4.1 officially coming to RDNA 3 and RDNA 2English
61·24 days agoA bit annoying that it’s going to be 2027 for RDNA 2 but better late than never. From what I understand the Z1 extreme is RDNA 3 so stuff like the rog Ally will have it sooner than the deck. Would be interesting to see testing for handheld performance after this update.
Some reason this reminds me of that rotational room in Control.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Have you ever witnessed OR heard of people irl have parents actually doing matchmaking? (Or like some weird "friends of friends" network?)
2·2 months agoYeah I’d imagine it’s hard to jump straight to marriage without living with your SO first, but I guess some people can make it work.

18·2 months agoI think my manager had an arranged marriage and is living happily and has a couple kids now. I believe one of my cousins met his wife through a dating app too.
I don’t really think any of this is weird especially today where it’s harder and harder to meet people now.

16·3 months agoI remember leveling a little bit and then crouch walking by quarry junction with a stealth boy and had a deathclaw stalking me. Barely escaped and made it through but I didn’t know there was any other way at the time lmao

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Where did this mic come from and how to make it go away? [Android]
9·4 months agoLooking around online it looks like it might be a bug with keyboard dictation. I didn’t find a way to fix it other than rebooting or maybe trying to toggle the setting on the keyboard.
Here’s a link to a thread that’s basically useless but the screen shot looks like it has the same mic icon https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S/Mic-button-displays-on-the-bottom-left/td-p/17377304

18·4 months agoIt was cool to read about some of the things that go on in the background during development.
It’s also insanely scummy that Netflix forces manufacturers to put the button on the remote in order to let the box access them for streaming. They don’t even provide any kickbacks for doing so it’s JUST to use the Netflix app on the box.

32·7 months agoIf you’re looking for more compact than powerful asustor has this https://www.asustor.com/en/product?p_id=91 12 nvme sticks with 8tb per stick would give you 96tb of storage in that small form factor. Only problem might be how much power you’d get out of that processor but you can bump the ram up to I think it was 96 gigs

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you spend more time on lemmy than you did on reddit?
1·8 months agoYeah these days it feels a lot more high stakes to do anything on reddit since if you vote on the wrong thing you can get banned and if you comment on the wrong thing you can also get banned lmao. Easiest option is to just not participate.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Will it be possible to reencode atmos or DTS x into the open eclipsa spatial format.
2·8 months agoYeah I’d have to wonder how the conversion would work too. Maybe like having a virtual audio setup with a virtual mic in the center lol. Technically I know it’s not mappable to channels but maybe like a virtual setup like that and specifying how many channels to record the audio track to. Not sure if any audio format would support individually mapped height channels though so maybe not possible. Guess that would also cause some complications for room correction I’d imagine.

2·8 months agoI don’t comment or vote on reddit anymore. I use them both a similar amount I’d think. If I ever have to do research into a topic though the answer is almost always on reddit.
