Human cloning, afaik, has been made illegal in parts of the US since the 90s (up to states; no federal laws) and is also illegal in a lot of other major countries around the world. It’s entirely possible to clone a human embryo and let it grow; there isn’t any kind of “accelerated growth” sci fi shit. And the ethics of cloning a human are… Questionable.
