Well, at least that’s better than shutting down the studios…
Though is funny if you think about the Activision/Blizzard/King acquisition lol

¡¡¡PUTISIMO TEBAS!!!

Nah, I don’t want to shame it.

Like… 5 bucks or so? For Hollow Knight. The rest of the games are either free, demos or gift.
The vast majority of my library is on GOG

Fine, it won’t be as much as 30% (that was an hyperbolic bad joke anyway), but there will be an effect in the market, as there isn’t any real good reason to have a console over a PC. If everything is Digital, you’re better off having a Steam library.

The Most: Hollow Knight Silksong. My second best purchase ever.
The least: a horror indie game so badly optimized I couldn’t even play a single minute of it. It was just like $1 or so, but it still hurts.

It’s more like the removal of alternative option of purchase and true ownership.

Well, the same could have been said about the last price increase the ps5 had. And even so, sales dropped significantly.

“Ps5 sales drop another 30%. Sony execs are flabbergasted”

A couple of days ago, I had to look outside of YouTube for song mixes from before 2022 so I wouldn’t end up with that AI-gen crap that’s flooding that web right now.
Straight and (in less proportion) gay people, because they think ace people “Only need to find the right person in their life!”.
I made an script in Python to batch rename like 10 images in a folder.

Low key yes.
Well, not cardboard. Maybe plastic, so it has more prestige, it’s more collectible and gift-able. But generally speaking, yes.
It would feel less like a middle finger to consumers. Or else, if they want to kill the physical format, they should just do it. That fucking empty box makes them look like dicks.

Now that’s a reasonable response lol
I played the original Generations. The only downside I could think of back then was that it was too short (I wanted to play more!). Now, with the Shadow campaign, that’s no longer an issue.
Go buy Sonic X Shadows Generation, now.
Its an excellent way to enter the franchise gameplay wise. After that, you could either play Sonic Origins if you like Classic gameplay or Frontier for modern gameplay.

How does that work with a “Code-in-a-box”?

Gift cards exist. Why not gift cards shaped videogames? Why a nearly empty box?
“There it is, I already said it, I already said it… Could you…? Could you put the gun down, please? I’m begging you, put the gun down. I already said what you wanted. Please, put the gun down. Please… My… My child is waiting for me. Please…”
