I really hate monthly subscriptions. The only two I could justify are my $5/m VPN and 3/m discord just bc I used it so much.
Recently I changed discord to $1 to Wikipedia, $1 to archive.org, $1 to Lemmy. It’s not a lot but gives me peace of mind.

Doom Eternal is one of my favorite games precisely because you switch weapons so often and are a slaughter machine. I beat the dlcs and had a blast. I enjoyed the difficulty honestly, it forced me to get better and actually feel like I ‘deserved’ to have the power of the doomslayer. The Marauder has to be my favorite enemy in all of gaming. He was SO hard the first time but once you learn how to counter him you can FUCK HIM UPP. It’s so satisfying to completely 180 him and turn him to a pile of gibs. The 2 at once fight in the first DLC was my favorite encounter of the whole game.

Tutorial hints were super annoying though, however you can just turn them off in settings.

2016 was boring for me tbh. Super excited for dark ages.

laptops > raspberry pi imo. Having a screen is SO useful. I just got an old laptop to watch YouTube and mp4s on my TV without ads. Way better than the slow ad filled Roku OS

Hi there, I’m currently in highschool. You don’t understand how school laptops work. There was a court case where a school laptop was recording from a child’s home - it actually happened.

Also when you shut the screen it doesn’t turn off all the way. I’ve had times where I shut the screen, out it in my bag and 45 minutes later on my Bluetooth headphones I’ll head the windows notification sound.

And just for clarity, do I personally believe that they are spying with audio/video? probably not tbh.
Do they track EVERYTHING you do on the laptop? yes. Very obviously yes.

Snapchat for only texting other people

Instagram for memes & some minor ““celebrities”” (YouTubers and some trans folk that give tips)

Pinterest for outfits/tattoo designs/etc. I get memes from there and post to 196 sometimes.

discord for uhhhh… discord stuff, idk. I scroll meme channels sometimes. and sometimes chat

YouTube for 99% of my online things. Unhealthy AF addition

Lemmy for more memes and news (not the best practice tbh) I mainly use just bc I want to support the fediverse and it’s better than scrolling reposted Instagram reels

I don’t use any twitter/bsky/threads/mastodon type platform, I just don’t mesh with the type I guess. It’s just short political stuff that’s depressing and memes which I get from literally everywhere else 🤷‍♀️

Yeah once my mom found my (soon to be 🤞) brother in law is trans she freaked out because “now you’re acting on it” and is now essentially cut out of our lives for the time being. I don’t really see her getting any better since she’s now living with her really conservative mom, so probably cut off permanently.

It’s really confusing and enemies will pop out of nowhere and kill you instantly. Not really fun imo, but then again I AM playing it for the first time 27 years after it came out 😂

I’m sure Black Mesa is more intuitive though.
