Because we didn’t seize the means of production

I love valve as much as any other gamer but I’m with Dutchies on this one. Valve has monopolistic policies

Thanks for writing this post. I too am hoping to switch soon.
Wasn’t “you shouldn’t have kids while you’re still a kid” part of her comprehensive sex ed?

Try an alternative fronted like redlib.catsarch.com for when you really need to view the page. Unfortunately, there is still too much valuable info there, which is surfaced by search engines

The movie “Mercy” huh

True, without 20% VAT German price would be ~1974 eur (=~2319 usd)

Pro 13 pre built with Intel
Germany: 2369 eur USA: 1499 usd
You can literally go to New York, eat a rye and pastrami, get your framework 13 pro, fly back and still be somewhat ahead
“It has a mic, so it’ll definitely have eavesdropping malware” is quite a logical jump to make. Everything has a mic nowadays.

Pokopia, Bananza? It’s better than PS5 launch imo

“President of Signal getting paid less than a principal engineer” must be the take here.
The same argument applies to Wikipedia: it’s a blessing these people accept working for <1M. They could easily get a job for triple the salary elsewhere but choose to forfeit it for principles.
I run a iRobot i3 and cutting its internet connection renders it useless. I’m eyeing a dreame l40 ultra for valetudo

Not only that, but when she wanted those photos to be taken down, US courts ruled that she has no right.
Truly the best democracy in the world.

I use the audio rooms feature with some friends quite a lot, where anyone can join and leave. Don’t know the official name. What’s an alternative for that? Will stoat work?

I usually look at it from cost per hour perspective. Tears of the Kingdom was 70 but I played it for ~140 hours, so 0.5 per hour. I’m ok with 1 per hour too but anything higher I start to ask myself “is the developer / publisher worth my support?”. Not all games can be judged by this metric though (eg outer wilds, unpacking)
So far, nothing beats the value of factorio. Mindustry (being so cheap) is a close second.

I might actually use this as my primary phone (I agree with others who say marketing this as a 2nd phone was a mistake) if it gets e/os/ or grapheneos support
Hyping up AI doesn’t become nice when Linus does it.
He can be a legendary developer, a better one than I’ll probably ever become, but I just don’t see how one can separate the use and the ethical implications of this. AI companies want to replace workers, period. There’s no plan to “increase productivity” and still employ this many people. The plan is to increase profits for shareholders.
AI helping Linus to develop better doesn’t make this reality go away. It’s akin to saying we should be thankful to nazi scientists.
