- The LDS / Mormon church has an estimated worth $293 BILLION (source). They don’t need to ask for money. This is marketing, not compassion and not charity. - lol I was going to say the same thing , your tax exempt and worth billions in assets and liquid.
- Yes, but this isn’t a fundraiser that was started by the church (or with church funding) but rather it was started and donated to by the members themselves. - …Yes that’s their point?
- It’s a wonderful expression of extraordinary human compassion, and as usual, met with hatred and cynicism. It brought me a measure of faith in humanity, despite being surrounded by evidence of human wretchedness. Thanks for posting this, I slept after having read it. - Thanks! I definitely feel the same. I found it particularly wholesome to read through the comments of those that were donating here: https://www.givesendgo.com/helptheSanfordfamily - It’s definitely uplifting. Thanks for prompting me to read them.

- Sorry don’t have money. Ask one of your billionaire friends, LDS church. - or just cut a check from one of the many hedgefunds.

- The LDS has plenty of money. - Yeah I’m guessing it’s the “saints” and not the “church” who are giving, as usual

- I don’t agree with LDS but I can respect this. “Love your enemy” should be the default but it rarely is.
