    Oh for sure, I just mean that without standing up/pushing back and instead just asking them to stop, like the governor did, it’s just giving them more reason to fuck with you because they know it will bother you. Simply asking them “please dont do this” without any way to enforce that will always result in them trolling the fuck out of you and smiling while you suffer. The governor should have had a way to enforce this before asking, is all I am saying. You don’t ask abusers things politely and expect it to go well. Once they know it’s a weak point, they take advantage of it, and you’re exposing it as a weak point by asking.

      They were still going to escalate to this kind of thing within a few weeks. I dont think there was any real effect beyond making Republicans look like monsters for threatening kids on Halloween
