“Antifascist combat training is about feeling safe, not tough, writes Tom Tanuki.”

This article is from anarchist Tom Tanuki, in response to an article in SAlt’s publication denouncing “black bloc” violence. This discussion notes both points of agreement and divergence of opinion.

This seems like a debate happening in the absence of a broadly supported anti-fascist campaign or movement.

Where does one get anti-fascist combat training?

I suppose Red Flag are claiming the tactics used are why it’s not broadly supported? I’m not sure.

I don’t know about any projects in Australia, apart from possibly LIFT Collective in Melbourne. There are probably a few affinity groups without internet presence rather than open organisations, maybe a SHARP might know.

Contrast with other countries with loud and proud red gyms and open martial community defense projects like 0161.
