The wait goes on for fans to see Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel movie on Paramount Plus this fall. But if you believe one viral post, there’s a leaked scene out in the wild – and potentially more waiting in the wings.

Over the weekend, Twitter user Imstilldissin claimed to have been “accidentally emailed” the entirety of Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender (H/T IGN).

To prove its legitimacy, they even posted a short clip from the project, which sees older versions of Aang, Sokka, and Katara come face to face with a new Avatar.

The designs are also good, it fits into the lore quite well1, and the characters are hot. But yeah, it’s a pretty generic “defenders of the status quo” macguffin movie without any real character work. It’s safe, satisfying fans who want more ATLA without doing anything new like ATLA did. A solid 6½/10, the worst kind of movie.

If you aren’t a fan, you’ve seen it already. If you are a fan, enjoy your nostalgia slop, I know I did. (And yes, it is available in full on the high seas).

      1:

especially if you read “being corrupted by the power” as Vaatu’s influence being described by characters that don’t understand it.

Korra was pretty good, it wasn’t the same thing (and Thankfully wasn’t trying to be), it wasn’t as good and it was weak in some aspects, but I think saying it was bad is a stretch, it can stand on its own legs. At least the first two seasons.

Yes. Ironically, if Korra was a completely separate thing from ATLA, I think it would be more popular.

Ignoring how it connects with ATLA, I think it’s just a solid Anime, with a few things that don’t work, and many that are great.

Is it? I couldn’t find it in any of the normal coves and bays

I would advise against doing this, but what a criminal would do is go to a website like https://bt4gprx.com/search?q=avatar+aang+2026 and get one of the torrents there. Those bastards would use the reddit /r/piracy wiki to find all the coves and ports, check that the information is legitimate, and use a torrent client like Transmission to parse a magnet link to get the booty.

Oh wow, I feel real dumb. Avatar isn’t even in the title and that’s the only thing I searched for. Found it as soon as I searched aang.
