    More immediately, how many of them would put forth money to stop this? If all rich actors banded together, they could probably stir up a nice ruckus.

      It’s just basic posturing to not put money where their mouth is. To benefit more than the cost would otherwise be.

          I think they’re suggesting that each of the 2000 signatories put up $50m each, totalling $100bn.

            Basic math is apparently far too difficult for some…

            While I have no doubt the 2000 signatories do not have 100 billion, the point still stands: They will do nothing but bitch and moan, and go on to accept contracts from the merged entity.

            I am sure there are far more than 2000 actors willing to complain about this, but will they do anything? No.

            Just like most of the US will sit by and let Trump ruin everything, these actors will simply accept the merger while whining about it.

            Humanity is a joke.
