So been watching the boys and there has been a thing I keep telling my wife about the character she loathes the most. The deep. My feeling is he has the best powers to have in that super hero dystopia. Now im taking from context clues that his powers equate pretty much to aquaman. On land some super strength and resistance. Sorta the “standard level” but can telpathically talk with sea life, super swim speed, can breathe underwater and presumably handle any depth (I think he said he went to the mariana trench), etc. This is the ideal thing to go do your own thing and maybe have some vaught tie ins for cash while keeping arms length distance. Basically do some high profile sea rescues and maybe a business protecting companies vessels. Vaught movies will likely every so often have a water thing and you get a cameo or tie in for some bucks. Stay away from the seven directly and homelander. Have a bunch of sea side realestate across the globe along with secret places in areas no normal person can get to. I mean the easy answer to have homelanders powers but that means having a target on your back. Even if you where not a nutter you gonna be the thing that like every country or such is gonna wann control. Thinking through the other powers I just don’t see any that give the freedom of being able to go anywhere in the ocean would along with the sea life telepathic communication and control as a bonus.

I think Cate Dunlap’s (Gen V) telepathy was pretty OP. In the show pretty much everyone knew about her powers, so the hardest part would be to make everyone forget (through telepathy) you had any powers at all. If you could accomplish that you could pretty much create your own utopian/dystopian world from behind the scenes.
Using telepathy there are endless ways you can amass a fortune. Once you have money you can buy influence. With both money and influence you can begin getting meetings with the powerful people currently pulling the strings. A simple handshake greeting, and now those powerful people are doing your bidding.
Even if shaping the world isn’t your bag, with telepathy the world is pretty much your oyster.
This is a good point. One of the complications of the superpowers is they seem to come up at various ages but an ideal thing would be to like get a math degree with a strong liberal arts background or maybe philosophy or such since you powers are main thing but you want a good general grounding. The mind control would be very hard to not just cheat but if you look at deeps it would be easy to blow off studies for adventures at sea.

In the boyoverse, the stronger you look or the flashier your power, the more danger you are in.
yeah it isn’t too much different than in other superhero universes. Aside from Homelander I’d say probably A-Train.

When you can move so fast time is almost stopped, you can pretty much do anything you want at any time, even before other powerful supes know what happened. Spoilered because I don’t think they showed just how fast A-Train can be until s05e01.

I think the blood control powers are probably the most powerful, but anything really good makes you a target so invisibility seems like a much safer option
I mean Homelander’s powers would be excellent if I’m living in that universe. Lots of scary shit and people killing each other. Although if I have Homelander’s powers, living in a world with Homelander, he probably going to try and kill me… Which isn’t ideal.
In which case Soldier Boy’s powers seem like a good choice. Which I’m largely picking so I don’t get murdered by other superheroes.
I just feel like homelanders are going to be hard to stay away from conflict. Deeps seem ideal to interact somewhat while keeping yourself away from all the backstabbing and such. Its like you can hideaway as you like but also make some bucks if you want but still stay out of the limelight or not get to pulled into the bs. homelander and soldier boy I just can’t see getting away from everything if you wanted or need to.
