I am not against criticizing physical appearances in people whose failings extend into making the world a worse place, and where we are unable to stop them based on that.

but it’s just like… they didn’t choose to be ugly or pretty on the outside, and they can never change it that’s just how they were born. They are choosing to be hateful every day though, and shaming that can at least show people it’s unacceptable to be that way rather than unacceptable to be short/unattractive/etc

I don’t know man. When you look at Donald Trump as an example, he wasn’t born looking like that. He proudly eats nothing but McDonald’s garbage and claims that exercise is bad for you. All while calling other people ugly, pigs, fat or all of these things. I think it’s fair to call him a fat piece of shit.

I think it’s fine if you’re saying it directly to them, it’s like saying a MAGA man looks like a girl is a good insult because they have such fragile masculinity. But if you say it publicly you still end up catching people in the crossfire who aren’t pieces of shit but feel like it because they’re fat. That one is way less of a problem though because him being fat is secondary to him being a POS.

The ones that I’m more talking about are things like “omg Ben Shapiro is short!!” “I bet this maga guy gets no women!!” “this maga woman is so ugly!!” It’s like suddenly body positivity and toxic masculinity stop being important because it’s someone they don’t like.
