Even worse: it is usually not a byproduct of capitalism but an actually functional and necessary aspect of it. Capitalism creates poverty to prevent workers from having too much power and taking action that could hurt profit margins. Some levels of profit margins even make the whole system go into crisis. Capitalism itself developed through policies like enclosure (theft of the commons, a means of subsistence) and the conversion of women into unpaid domestic workers.

I bet you haven’t built your life and identity on the exploitation of others. Be more considerate of those who have. Just because they’re inhuman ghouls slavering for the flesh of the innocent to sate their treat-hunger for whom the suffering of others has become synonymous with joy doesn’t mean they aren’t human beings just like us, just as deserving of compassion and empathy.

Not only of capitalism, but of any system that allows hoarding power and repression against those unsatisfied with it.

Hrmm, I have some double strength pills here too. “Dark Tetrads (psychopathic, narcissistic, machiavellian, sadistic) are attracted to positions of power over others.” and it comes with a warning, “The implications of swallowing these may cause” and then the rest of the warning is missing… O_O
