What to focus, what to ignore, and avoid overwhelm

      Yea I can’t support this kind of stuff enough. Science plays such a large role in society at this point that scientific literacy (or lack thereof) by the general population is incredibly important for shaping so many things about our lives. It’s fairly straightforward to parse studies if you’re already in a STEM field, but people who don’t have that background can really struggle with it (trying to explain some studies to my mom come to mind).

      Honestly I wish some sort of “scientific literacy” course was a requirement for everyone as early as high school, along with things like personal finance and critical thinking courses
