For me, it may be that the toilet paper roll needs to have the open end away from the wall. I don’t want to reach under the roll to take a piece! That’s ludicrous!

That or my recent addiction to correcting people when they use “less” when they should use “fewer”

Trucks should be used for working and not hauling groceries. Get a fucking car or a van. Roads are safer with more crash compatibe vehicles that also weigh less. Large trucks should need a special licence to drive/own Driving should also be taught in school

As someone who lives in Texas and watches the biggest trucks be driven by the worst drivers on the road, I agree with the extra license bit. I also believe they should only be allowed to park in specifically designated spots, considering how often they don’t fit in a parking spot and block parts of parking lots.

And then if anyone mentions it or posts about some of them will go on a tirade about how they’re actually the hero cause if they don’t take up 4 spots they’re going to stick out into the lane/street.

Now imagine if everyone had someone teach them the rules of the road and proper ways to drive / park.

I swear after the pandemic drivers got significantly worse…

I like the parking idea, all the way in the back where they can be douches all by themselves. I saw a guy in Colorado last week actually do that. He parked perpendicular to the lines and took up 6ish spots but at least he was out of the way.

This white dude got out all cool, blaring his music and helped his black queen out in her bright pink workout clothes and they both went into the gym and half assed some workout on the cable machines while she literally selfies the entire time.

Large american pickup trucks shouldnt even need to exist. You could get almost the same bed space with a kei truck (which granted is not easy to import or get but still)

Isnt it a Chevy pulling a jet in the old ad making the rounds? I’m sure that Chevy would be fucked after doing THAT a few times but it would handle your stupid uhaul sized trailer just fine.

There are certain large vehicles that are still needed but the F150 (and similar) shouldn’t be in every fucking driveway Trucks are purpose built vehicles.

I own a brewery and the number of people that drive 30-40 min in a truck to pick up a 50L keg is insane. I have a Veloster and can put 5 full kegs in it…

They probably wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the unintended consequences of regulation

Actually it’s a lack of regulations that is the problem. Light trucks are less regulated so the big manufacturers leaned hard into it.

          Regulations need to be updated

I feel like I’m out of the loop on this one.
You don’t consider delivery/logistics to be working, and you expect supermarkets to receive their stock from a fleet of cars/vans?
And you don’t need a different license to drive trucks where you live?

Pretty sure they meant hauling groceries from the grocery store home, not delivering groceries to the store.

Who uses a truck for that?
Edit: I guess truck drivers who don’t own a car might, but surely that’s less than 1% of the road users?

I think you’re confused, I am not talking transports. I’m talking large “passenger” trucks (F150, RAM, Yukon, Etc). Most people driving these vehicles don’t need them and even more people can’t safely drive them either.

Cars, Vans, Light SUV are a all crash comparable meaning the bumpers should be at at a min/max height so if you get into an accident all of the crumple zones will do their jobs. Trucks don’t need to follow these regulations.

Because bad regulations around “light trucks” and manufacturers didn’t have to follow stricter emissions either, unlike passenger vehicles.

          Oh, I get you.
Sorry, I’m not American, so I’ve never heard people call them that.
Where I live, ‘truck’ is exclusively used for the vehicles used with logistics or heavy machinery.

Totally understand what you mean now, and yeah fuck those guys lol.
