Feel free to spread my poetry far and wide.

As Sagan, Watts and Tolle say: We are all waves of one ocean, the cosmos observing itself, we are energy and light that has existed from the start. We can choose to awaken and shatter the ego identity, in our short existence as conscious stardust!

  • It would be great if the medical system had a way to see trends in data, if heading toward metabolic issues, chronic inflammation, before diabetes, types 2 and 3! Ahh, but fasting insulin and crp tests are cheap, don’t make much money for the system to prevent issues early, with lifestyle changes and not need treatments!

"Insulin resistance develops 10–20 years before fasting glucose or HbA1c cross into the prediabetic range. During that window, the pancreas compensates by pumping out progressively more insulin to keep glucose “normal”, which is what those markers capture.

HOMA-IR is the primary equation used to assess insulin resistance, calculated as (Fasting Insulin × Fasting Glucose) / 405, with values >2.0 indicate significant resistance and >2.9 metabolic syndrome. Triglyceride/HDL ratio is another marker for insulin resistance, with a target of <1.0 and high-risk values exceeding 3.0.

Fasting insulin levels are independently associated with high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), a marker of systemic inflammation; higher fasting insulin predicts elevated CRP.

A nasty mechanism, the enzyme IDE (insulin-degrading enzyme) clears both insulin and Aβ. When hyperinsulinemia (from gut-driven peripheral IR) floods the system, IDE gets occupied by excess insulin and can’t clear Aβ as efficiently, plaques accumulate "*

  • Q: What % of people that are abusive in the various ways, some even convicted of crimes, support controlling, authoritarian ways, vs warm and authoritative ways, equality, etc?

A: If you group all abusers together, roughly 85% to 90% actively support or default to controlling, authoritarian methods to handle their relationships. The remaining 10% to 15% might state they believe in equality or warmth, but their personal actions fundamentally break those principles due to antisocial traits or psychological instability. • Companies don’t pay enough so the whole tax base is lower than it should be, and definitely need higher tax rates, like it was when so much of the country was built and funded publicly. Some claim to want those olden days again, and wouldn’t pay the full taxes anyway after all the deductions. Higher wages and if ever had healthcare for all, workers would have much better quality of life, less stress from scarcity, closer to EU benefits, but still not paid sick, family leave and vacation time at all jobs.

Enough workers must get better benefits than others, they say everyone can do the same, but it’s not true, and it’s an example of the selfishness that runs deep. Another example is when they see others with benefits they don’t have, they want it taken away, rather than realize they deserve it too. From the lore of “pioneers, explorers and the self-made who did it all on their own,” people today think they did too. Good for those that really did, and lots of hard workers for sure, but most had help in various ways they don’t recognize. I’m not sure if anything will get them to see the truth, since they rely so much on their team for identity, and it teaches them to stay in the basic right/wrong thinking and don’t want to think beyond that, too hard, and thinking is stoopid!

  • I think so too unfortunately. Even if Dems win a majority, how much, and w/o executive can’t change much. Then get blamed they had hearings for 2 years rather than unite and fix all the damage, that the bad choices last election caused/made worse, but no awareness of that.

Much easier and faster to destroy things than build, but tiktok feeds won’t mention that, and will convince enough to make the bad choices again. I hope I’m wrong and people show up and elect Dems with enough majority, for enough time, to make the changes people claim to want. It can’t be done if every other cycle destroys the progress Dems make when they ever have enough majority, and people don’t realize all this and think vote the other way to fix what they “feel” is wrong. Right/wrong thinking, it’s part of why we’re regressing.

  • If convictions are backed up by best knowledge we have and stand up to scrutiny then they are good until new information is discovered that updates the old. Don’t fall for the ego control, be aware it wants to be right and fights new information, but shouldn’t, learning new things is fun! Follow Sagan’s baloney detection kit, and scientific method, and one part is don’t get attached to a theory. To combine Sagan and Watts, we’re all waves of one ocean, made of stardust, the cosmos observing itself, that’s the truth that sets us free, test it :)

Edit: Convictions are part of Perry’s scheme of cognition, and to get there it requires the skepticism to understand what is peer-reviewed and data backed and what is not.

  • More info: The term did not originally refer to a unified continent but was gradually expanded by Greek geographers and historians like Herodotus to distinguish the western lands from Asia and Libya (Africa). It was not until the Middle Ages and the Carolingian Renaissance that “Europe” solidified as a distinct cultural and political identity linked to Christianity and the former Western Roman Empire, evolving from a vague regional descriptor into the modern continental concept.
