Johnny Cash’s cover of Hurt by NiN
The video is beautiful, but the story, and timeline of cash’s later life, is heartbreaking.
It’s not flashy, it’s not in your face, but it evokes feelings in most people, and tells a story.

Driven plenty, still hate them.
Typically, for me, it’s been a situation where the guy was really physically attractive, but a an absolutely horrible person.
I’m really not sure why you’re getting downvoted for this. It’s true. Whether people think it’s “tasteful” or not doesn’t change reality.
I grew up in San Diego, so huge marine and navy population. There are a handful of bars that are super fun to people watch at (typically JUST off base) for this exact reason. Alcohol and desperation make interesting bedfellows.
For anyone else curious about exactly that the competition entailed
Extreme Relaxation represents a unique experience for individuals to determine their relaxation skills in the face of adversities and stressors. Each player in the Extreme Relaxing Championships is equipped with a HR monitor given time to establish a relaxed baseline. During the competition, individuals will be asked to relax while being presented with a series of distractions, the individual with the smallest amount to change from their relaxed baseline will be deemed the winner.
Not exactly what I was expecting, but interesting.
Honestly, I’m in agreement with OP. Yes it’s going to be/is a “famous” photo, but I join subs like this to NOT see all the depressing political/end of world/consumerism crap. There are plenty of other places for cheerosupremes mugshot. I personally scrolled past at least 20 of them on other like every other sub.
Restaurant/chefs do sell menus to other restaurants/bars/chefs, so they may sell that off, but the public would never know about it.
You largely have intuit/turbotax/quickbooks/mailchimp/whatever other name they use for that process. Or at least the paying for it part
The samurai is an amazing little vehicle. They are pretty adorable too.
It’s getting very difficult to find parts for the FB. There are a lot less people who know how to work on them, or are willing to work on them too. They are a blast to drive, and every time I think I should sell mine, I go for a drive, and remember why I can’t.
A few pics of mine…
I’ve had mine for about 15 years now. It’s a 1982 GSL with all the original factory options. Mines pretty heavily modified though. It made a huge 89rwhp on the dyno out of the carb’d 12a.
Just about everyone I know has trouble fitting in all the fun cars. I’m relatively small, so I fit great in my rx7 and Miata.
I think you have to be part of the greater car community, at least, to know much about one, but probably a smaller niche of people looking for practical vehicles that are fun to know about the samurai.
I love the first gen RX7, and while far more well known (the FD anyhow), than the samurai, there is a LOT of confusion and misinformation out there about my car and the rotary engine in general. I feel your pain.
Running. Ok, I know it’s not obscure, however, if you say you’re a runner, or that it’s a hobby, you’re frequently met with hostility, or people trying to talk you out of it. The amount of times people have said “running is bad for you, you need to stop” is insane.
Don’t be mean, or shitty about it, but be absolute. “This relationship is no longer working for me, and I cannot continue to see you anymore.” Not, “IDK maybe we shouldn’t see each other anymore.” Whatever variation of how you say it that works for you in fine, but no wishy-washiness.
Cut all contact after. It’s very rare for people to be able to be friends with an EX. And it’s even harder in the immediate time after the breakup (that’s how you end up back together) I say this as someone who is friends with multiple EXs. Those friendships took time, and space, immediately after the breakup.
Every breakup was totally predictable, and for a/multiple VERY good reasons. I don’t regret any relationship I’ve ever had. Some I learned some things that immediately made me a better person, others took me reflecting later on, to make me realize things that ultimately helped me improve as a person. Regardless I learned something from every relationship/partner. A lot of them were red flags to avoid, and traits I couldn’t be with, but I learned things

Nothing weird. I’ve had both general anesthesia and the “twilight” stuff (versed no propofol).
I was put under general once in my 20s. I don’t really remember anything odd happening before or after, but I was sick as a dog after.
The last time under general I remember getting wheeled into the operating room. Then, chatting with the nurses/anesthesiologist, and then just a rush of the most amazing feeling ever. I got an “oooohhh fuuiuuccckkkkkkkk” out before passing out. I woke up freezing and shaking uncontrollably (I’ve been told this is normal). I remember parts of the drive home, and getting in the car, but not all of it.
Twilight was effectively the same. Got put in the oral surgeons chair, nurse said something like “here we go” and a rush of pretty good feeling, then out cold. This time I woke up at home with absolutely no recollection of getting there. Husband said I was talking a million miles a minute (not like me). He also said I totally thought I was just going to walk out to the car. My body apparently had other ideas. I woke up the couch in different clothes, so I’m sure that was entertaining trying to wrangle me into.
Oh, don’t worry, we will have plenty of wildfires, once the plants from this rain all die. Our next fire season is going to be VERY very bad here in San Diego. We’ve had a very wet winter/year and now this.
I think I agree. When I first moved here everyone was so nice, respectful, and willing to have an actual dialogue. Now it feels more like Reddit where when you say something every just immediately jumps to shitting on you, even if they interpret what you said wrong, or if they disagree. I also feel like there are a lot more of the “well, akshewally….” Types here now. There also seems to be people who honestly can’t grasp this isn’t Reddit, and brought the same mentality/trends with them.

How are the defense contractors, and politicians going to get PAID if we aren’t constantly at war somewhere.
