I only use lemmy via mobile. There are tools available for redirecting on android also but its kinda nice to just have a link 🤷 I think it makes privacy more accessible
Big nerd. Big fan of cool open source stuff. Generally queer. (He/him)

I rather liked the piped link bot. It was nice to always be presented with an option 🤷 but thats just me
That’s a damn fine URL. Thanks for sharing ❤️
This is an excellent post, thank you for blessing my feed with this discourse- I also really like using dashes!
Semicolons, dashes, commas, and colons are all great for breaking up and organizing words without implying to total pause that a period would. I find them perhaps especially useful since I write like I speak, making conveying cadence or pauses to break up run-on sentences particularly important for clarity
Thats fuckin cute as shit
Just that it gives me a route that feels like it makes more sense. I’ve been trying out organic maps and OSMand lately in place of routes I would normally drive with google maps, and previously it had felt like OSMand had the better routing but organic maps had the better interface (though there are some aspects that are better with OSMand, namely the display/label for the next turn is a little crummy in organic maps) but lately the routing has been good enough in organic maps that I’ve been preferring to use it over OSMand. I can’t wait to see it continue to improve
Aw fuck yeah! I dont have android auto but thats still super cool. I’m loving the improvements to routing lately
Dope, thanks for sharing!
It’d be really nice if there was a github page with an overview of all the mastodon instances like the one for lemmy. Is anyone aware of such a resource?
Link to the github page in question for lemmy
Do it! Community projects only happen when a community makes it happen. Developing an app that has to engage with someone else’s back end is difficult and they could probably use the help
If they don’t like your commit, you can ask them why in case its something easy to fix, and if you can’t make them happy then fork the project
Thanks for posting to let folks know about it! I’m curious to see what the new strategic plan and project priorities are
I don’t speak French, but- oui :(
Yeah, I’m not actually sure where the issue is. It only happens for me with openboard, but also only happens in Jerboa. It seems more likely a jerboa issue since it apparently also happens with the AOSP keyboard that openboard is based on, but the distinction may not matter to someone who’s just looking for a good keyboard app
I’ve been meaning to open a bug report in the repo for openboard and jerboa so it can get sorted, but haven’t done so yet
Open board has an active fork here: https://github.com/Helium314/openboard
It has typing suggestions, backspace and space bar gestures, and now some custom theming. Though it does have a weird bug with backspace behavior in the jerboa app- so does the original openboard and aosp keyboard that openboard is based on.
Its not available on f-droid, though hopefully that’ll change in the future, but you can install the apk from the releases tab on github, or you can use obtainium to do that for you and it’ll let you know when there’s a new release
If you move sim racing, would you mind replying to me to let me know? I follow the current one just cause I think sim racing is neat. If it gets moved I’d love to follow the new one
(Totally fine if that’s too much work :)
