Its Monday still but last week was pretty good. Friday night was fun. Went to dinner with my parents and my older sisters family. Pretty good Mexican food. Then Saturday morning I played dnd with my friends and two new players joined the party. That was fun but frustrating cause this was the first season we’ve played with the new rules. My monk is way better now though. Being able to block attacks is super handy.

Edit: Apparently my fellow Americans put the knife down after cutting and switch the fork to the hand that was holding the knife. I’m not sure I’ve ever noticed this. I always use my right(dominant) hand to cut with but then I just use the fork in my left to eat the food with. I know I’m an odd duck but I’m baffled by the utensil boogaloo that seems to be going on. Now I’m going to have to watch people around me eat. I’ll report back in a few weeks.

The cat never sees you eat and is concerned. The dog carries his food out to you for roughly the same reason, he wants you to know he is eating and you should not worry about him. It’s a social thing many animals do.

Less than a day old and two of the three comments are literally these two…

While that’s actually a crazy low number of people, I’m not in one of those “swing” states. If my state’s electoral votes already go towards the party I want, what’s the motivation for me to vote? The possibility of my state flipping is there, but it seems unlikely. I’m asking because this exact question has been asked to me, and I honestly couldn’t find a better answer than, “you never know…”

So if voting matters so much in the presidential election, why in 2016 did Hillary get 29% of the vote yet lost, and Trump only got 28% but won?

Please, I’m genuinely not understanding but would really like to. Can someone please explain, like I’m 5, why my vote matters at all in the presidential election.
