I thought DeusEx:HR was really good, but it was already visually dated when it came out fifteen years ago. Love the atmosphere though

hey me too ! high five
I learned a word ! cheers
Thanks for the additional info, I am bit shocked tbf. Good that your company seems decent in that regard
Nice ! what about companies with fewer than 100 employees, do you have any idea ?
surely the ones where there’s the most freedom. Careful about implying causation, though. could be a fluke
that can’t be right ? anyone from the US care to confirm this ? even for them it sounds absurd
And some of them are duplicates ! I discovered THREE identical locations just roaming about ! the same dungeon layout ! but different loot. Can you believe that shit
Exactly. What made Morrowind’s sauce was discovering all these places on foot
Once there was a young father with his two children talking over the movie. The movie was a documentary of sorts about wolves, but it was filmed from the perspective of a lone man who went to camp in the mountains to observe them, so it was quite magical. And the kids would talk in amazement whenever the film showed a wolf cub or something. It was a little distracting, but ultimately it kinda added to the wondrous feeling and I shrugged it off -it was fine. But a couple of older people were pissed at the kids, like really pissed. They kept commenting under their beards how it ruined the experience, then they started loudly arguing with the dad. They were the ones breaking everybody’s fun. I stood up, told them I was going to have them expelled, and they turned quiet. I was very happy about my decision this day
I bought it on confidence when it released. That was the last time I ever did this. I played 25 very boring hours and uninstalled it. It’s very difficult to figure out how you can fail so spectacularly with such a budget, such a long development time, and such a carte blanche with making a new universe from scratch
All this text and I still don’t know what he’s complaining about
I don’t know, but he better have said thanks
good god no
What does that mean ?
oh really ? we know that ?
They can’t just be rendering on top, the visuals would clash with collisions. Some of the assets we’ve seen in captures are different enough from their legacy counterparts that they would cause all sorts of issues while playing. Also, they wouldn’t be able to increase the forest density, because trees have collisions. So it’s at least a remaster within gamebryo (which seems most likely to me, because it’s tailor-made for this kind of game) or a more profound remake within another engine (needless troubles, if you ask me, most unlikely).
Fantastic. Thanks for the feedback.
Frankly I played 150hrs and nothing like this ever happened, give it another chance
