Or maybe a grant giving research organization builds it in house, where all research performed under a grant goes through their internal peer review with qualified reviews.

It is weird how a lot of the new norm for parents is to isolate yourself from your friends. I remember a generation ago where parents were a lot more social while still having kids.

Dumb question, but what would happen if the act of peer review was a cost that had to be paid? I assume that’s the reason why journals have such high fees to read documents, that’s how they fund peer review.

I git my name put onto a credit card as a kid to help do things like buy groceries. After I went to college, parents had financial issues and the credit card that my name was on didn’t get paid. My credit was great except for non payment on that credit card.

So, yeah. It can be better if the parent doesn’t have to open a credit card so that a kid can buy things which require a tap and cash isn’t accepted.

Yeah, that’s how I look at a lot of products. There will be faults and there are some red lines that I won’t cross, but I’d rather a company have done minor faults, be open about them, and fix them rather than be brand new and possibly hiding a lot worse.
