I was thinking this when I watched dandadan. Like, almost all main story arcs in the first season centre around some form of sexual assault, and you’re telling me the MCs weren’t scarred by them in any way, shape or form???

Da frick happened on the old one? Am I out of the loop?
Oh yeah, 100% I played for the first ~3 years OW was out and had a blast for the first two
It was after that where I started getting good and saw the flaws of the game. As you said, too many characters counter other characters, and the constricted 6v6 (and later 5v5) made individual performance stressful in many games
If you’re looking for a similar (but imo much better/laid back experience) then TF2 is a great game, where the medic supporter is the strongest class in the game

I brought this up in my friend group, and, to quote one of them, the general consensus is “is it weird that I actually don’t care”

I hatwcwhen guess try to add too many characters
Earlier on, it felt like I could competently play all characters and, when i saw another in the field, knew what to expect from them
Now, I feel like constantly learning new characters is a chore at best

I played it at launch and couldn’t get above 26 fps on lowest settings. That’s with constant stutters btw
I’m not playing it until I can at least hit a consistent 30
When games have a designated button to show interactive elements in the environment
This just screams “we don’t know how to make an uncluttered game”

That’s not what this was about?
They made an IP, a minor share holder used company funds to buy majority states in said company, then forced the guys who made the game out of the company. I’m not able to do investigative journalism in a comment, but there is still an ongoing legal case on this

It was initially an artist-owned company, which had a hostile takeover against the wishes of said artists
Not sure how you’d define it as anything other than stole

They made the IP and game, their parent company had a full change in leadership, they questioned what qas happening, and the new guys said “yoink” before kicking them out

Ip was stolen by corporate suits
Pirating the game is the most moral thing you can do

Merry smissmas!

…yes, but there are a whole lot of other places it could still be

You still have to tell UE to make them though

…no they came from genAI?

But fr tho I agree. Sure, there are sole knobheads who clearly haven’t read the article, but the disparity between what you see here and the r-place is wonderful

Kind of defeats the purpose of a placeholder…

I hate when people try to shift the goalposts
These guys didn’t disclose the usage of AI when initially sold as well as for the award, and there’s nothing more to it than that
There’s still not even a disclaimer on the steam store page or anything
Do the DBZA movies count?
Because I’ve watched them all about 7 or 8 times now lol
