Trying to figure out how to stain the maple cabinets I built. It’s been harder than anticipated… But progress is progress. One step at a time and all that.

That’s wild to me! I didn’t register all that long ago, but you admins approved me app in minutes. Thanks for all your work, we appreciate it!!
Yeah, agree to this. Nice to be a part of a well tended community with some nice folks. Keep the engagement coming!
You know, that’s a good point. Facebook may be littered with ads, but at least they are relevant to my lifestyle. My wife has purchased a fair few things she saw from Facebook ads. Reddit ads pretty much are universally uninteresting garbage.
Because he has admin rights and can literally control the narrative?
Yeah, that’s the thing… I think back to some of the communities I used to be a part of decades ago, and the size of them… I miss those communities. I’m ready to return to a smaller internet.
If it’s represented with in equal proportions it’s fine, but generally I agree. I haven’t liked a lot of things about 5e, and don’t find it interesting.
I’d like to see a community specifically dedicated to tabletop RPGs. Don’t think I’ve seen one of those yet.
Don’t discount the trades! I am very happy in my programming job, but if I ever found myself out of work again, or burt out on the career, I would definitely heavily consider moving my skillset that way!
That’s the big one, to me. It’s a huge source of water for damn near all of Crimea. Russia destroying the thing has dramatic implications both to their campaign in Ukraine as well as their perceived ability to withstand the Ukrainian counter offensive in Crimea. This is both terrible and very interesting…
It’s been a rollercoaster… I’ve been stuck on the step to make cabinet doors for a project I’m working on at home for the last three weeks… but as of last night, it seems like I’ve broken that barrier wide open, and I finally finished the assembly of four doors, and they all look absolutely fantastic!
On the down side, my kids all got pink eye, and on their “field day” week at school… Which in and of itself stinks, but the on who has considerable FOMO did this exact thing last year, too, and missed all the stuff then as well. I feel pretty bad for them.
Work is actually pretty cool. But, the MVC architecture for .Net doesnt make a bit of sense to me, and I can’t wait to be done with this app so I dont have to use it again.
Hard agree. I love having an EV. Charging at home is so easy, and the vast majority of my driving is well within half of it’s range.
Home Improvement projects are finally progressing at a decent clip. I’ve been stuck under some hangups that have made progress slow. We’re looking into purchasing a new mountain bike for my daughter. I’m really excited to get out and do some singletrack with her and try some new things. It’s a super exciting opportunity for her and I! :)
