Peacemaker season one had that effect on me. Season 2 grew on me but first season was one I would never skip, even on rewatch.

I know you’ve mentioned having a fitbit. Years ago I had a hand me down and it gave me insight into my sleep that was invaluable. Fast forward, got back into running for the fifth or so time in my life - a few Garmin watches later, and made a conscious choice post covid to stop making myself miserable through alcohol. I still enjoy a drink here and there but it is absolutely stunning how bad one or two drinks will screw up your sleep - and at that point it is a good night but the entire next day is garbage. Short version of this was meant to say - get good sleep tracking and it may open your eyes a bit and help you focus on your goals. I go to bed much earlier than I used to (9pm feels late now) and target 8 hours of quality sleep - especially on nights before runs, which now is every two days unless I have an event - like a concert or something - that wipes me out.

I’ve used the drop in cold water, heat to boiling, then turn heat off. Leave eggs in hot water, set a timer for 12 minutes and once complete, transfer to ice bath in fridge.

I just put mint on the same laptop from 2014 that you’re talking about. My intent is to use it as something with more real estate than a phone when lounging around. Replaced battery, fan, and replaced spinning rust with a spare SSD. Last week upgraded the ram to 16gb ($40ish on Amazon for ddr3l!!). Only reason I upgraded it was because Firefox would occasionally stutter on scrolling.
I agree with you 100%. As a motorcycle rider and pedestrian/runner, I am all too aware that even if you are in the right as to your personal choices - it will suuuuuck to be unseen from someone piloting a larger vehicle. Responsibility doesn’t solely fall on the pedestrian in this instance - but why wouldn’t someone at a disadvantage want to up their visibility? Had a bicyclist the other night on an unlit Street wearing all black and no lights or reflectors on their bicycle. 25mph zone but two way narrow in-town street. I only knew they was there because the car in front of me crossed the double yellow - and looking in the rear view, had pulled off to the side but was next to invisible…

Yeah there is a lot of fuss about the cx5 turning to touchscreen and people hating it (in literature, not sure on the experience side yet). I have a 2020 and like the setup it has for sure.

Dear Lord I’m not the only one wondering what RPM stands for!!
Gonna start down a rabbit hole here - but are there any good rf remotes for htpc? I’ve been using Nvidia shield devices for the better part of what feels like a decade now and they’re awesome - with the exception of lacking hardware av1 decode.

Depends on how fast the technology can dump current. Lead acid is particularly good about dumping a ton of current to crank.

My jerboa fails

Ahem Sony ahem - referring to Minidisc which I thought was awesome but most Americans didn’t care.

I’ve got an older AMD bulldozer platform with 16 or so tb behind it. SMB serves up all of the media to Nvidia shield platforms running Kodi. Away, I’ll wire guard in to my network to remotely access media and compute as needed. I’m a big fan of not running a bunch of integrations that would fail at a time I’m just trying to watch something and relax; IT support at home after doing it all day sucks.

The older I get, the more I don’t give a fuck and just let go. Interstellar - when Cooper is watching messages from his son… Gets me every damn time.

This happened to me with a good friend. He wanted to stop listening, and admittedly I was on repeat (severe depression, major life changes coming and I couldn’t cope properly) - but it has the effect of drifting us pretty severely.

I love the idea behind this. Overall I’ve been burned about 3 times in my home ownership time by committing to a brand like this. The brands seem to change batteries (voltage or connectors or both) on a 5 to 10 year cycle, meaning I either have to rebuild packs (fun with newer BMS etc) or deal with China sourced minimum lifetime packs. Even bigger things do this - but I did recently bought a Ryobi ride on mower that originally had lead acid that I covered myself to a single 48v lifepo4. Their newer ride ons have large 80v “packs” that I’m sure cost an arm and a leg for a proper “official” pack.

Holy hell, the shit the pants statement is so on point.

I’m fairly tall; just rented a Nissan Versa sedan and I almost fell uncomfortable extending the seat all the way back. Wouldn’t want a child behind me, but it has surprising driver room for being a smaller sedan.

That’s especially fun for those of us on motorcycles. I found a particularly horrible road to ride a sport touring bike on several years ago and would have loved this feature on osm.

I’m not your twin am I? I had mine out right before 20…
Just posted this same thought on another thread. I get stupid chills on the season one intro.
