That’s an absurdly weird comment There is no such thing as a ‘fair trade’ with a dictatorship like China that engages in economic coercion, espionage on citizens, transnational repression, election interference, just to name a few examples. China is the exact opposite of the ‘social freedoms’ as you argue. You don’t seem to understand what’s going on in this country and the economy.

Your comment is apparently not accurate. It’s noteworthy that China’s claims over islands and outcrops effect not only Australia, but practically all its neighbours like Philippines, India, Buthan, Nepal, let alone Taiwan.

I get your sentiment, but indifference isn’t a solution either, and am also not so sure whether it has no effect in the long run if more people openly criticize such actions. I don’t know whether something leads to a change, but doing nothing certainly won’t.
