I know it’s a joke, but Dr. Peterson has never said anything as profound as the root comment. He can definitely say some things that are as long winded as that comment, but his point would be about women being better off in the kitchen, or something about how pronouns are going to end civilization, or some garbage like that.

I have found that local banks like credit unions, and such, seem to have nicer mobile apps from my experience.

I have worked as a software engineer for a smaller bank like this, and the development was a lot more honest. These kind of banks normally just want a pleasant user experience for their customers, unlike bigger banks that want to deploy all sorts of dark patterns to collect user data and sell extra stuff to their customers.

That’s fair and I can agree. I don’t use Brave, but for everything I’ve heard about it, it sounds pretty competent. The team behind Brave doesn’t deserve to suffer, and the hatred should be to Eich, himself, not Brave as a whole.

As far as gravel and dirt roads go, a Subaru, or just an SUV with 4 wheel drive is going to perform better off road. Pickup trucks have stiffer suspension, and larger overhangs with the truck bed that require them to be lifted higher to get the same clearance as other non-pickup style off road vehicles.

If they aren’t being utilized for their stowage or towing capacity, then they are being underutilized, as there are just better vehicles for off road use.

Personally, I’d take a Subaru sedan with all wheel drive over a pickup truck, for a place like Michigan.

In places where prostitution is legal, the amount of human trafficking goes way down, because the brothels in these places are usually inspected pretty regularly. They have to follow regulations or else they will be forcefully shutdown, and the employees being there willingly is usually one of those regulations.

Definitely not going to argue with you there. I switched here to get away from that exact thing, and because I felt much more at home on Lemmy with people like you in the comments(I see you in the comments all of the time <3).

I was sick of seeing brain dead right wing and lib talking points being upvoted to the top of every thread. So it doesn’t surprise me that a lot of the Reddit immigrants are more right leaning.

Still, I am proof that at least some of us left Reddit because we found a home here surrounded by more left-leaning people. I find myself agreeing with a lot more people here than I ever did on Reddit.

If the Reddit fiasco didn’t happen I would have never even looked into Lemmy. I would imagine at least half, if not the majority, of Lemmy users joined around the same time.

I haven’t looked at Reddit since then, and I most definitely feel like Lemmy is much better than Reddit. I think you are focusing too much on the few Reddit immigrants that complain, and you interact with many of us that don’t complain, more often than not.
