Was the skeleton disarticulated? If not then the rabbit most likely wasn’t killed by predetors or scavenged. If it was hunted you’d see bones scattered and quite a few missing. We have foxes, hawks, and coyotes in our area and every now and then we find bits and pieces of their leftovers in the yard and on the porch but never the whole thing.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What was the last live theater performance that you saw?English
2·8 days agoA college rendition of Ken Ludwig’s The Game’s Afoot. The first half was a little slow but the second half picked up considerably. Before that was A Lucky Stiff; it was quite silly but a fun watch.
The things you interact with in a new house are much cheaper and lightweight than older counterparts e.g. trims are mdf instead of wood, doors are fiberboard instead of laminated wood, walls are drywall instead of buttonboard, wood I-joists instead of solid wood joists, fixtures are thinner and often plastic instead of metal.

Games@lemmy.world•There's nothing 'euro' about 'eurojank,' says Stalker devEnglish
3·17 days agoNot all european games are eurojank and there are noneuropean games that feel like eurojank but that doesn’t invalidate the term eurojank. Its useful to have terms to describe a quality or vibe of games outside of gameplay or genre.
It’s probably because there is something out of frame that is reflecting light perpendicular to the sun. Look at the trim on both porch roofs to the far left and compare it to the porch farther right just below the spire; they should be the same shadow intensity but the left one is noticably brighter. Plus its rare to see such a bright roof with dark trim in real life which adds to the uncanniness.
At first there was Gallagher, then R lee Ermey, and now muscle mommies and zaddies are a scourge wrought onto the innocent fruit.
Thats specular lens flare (ghosting), it looks like multiple little dots here, instead of a larger dot, since the light is partially blocked by tree branches. A lens hood and repositioning the camera are the only ways to prevent these.
To your second point you might find some explanations in film studies. The rise of viscerally violent zombie/horror movies of the 2000s has been widely discussed. Its typically attributed to: political instability (911/war on terror); fear of diseases (2002 SARS/1999 west nile virus); natural disasters (Huricane Katrina 2005/climate change); and economic crisis (dotcom bubble 2000/2007 economic recession). Essentially widespread fears and anxieties shape our media and I think (some) video games being darker, grittier, and more violent in that time period reflect this.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What search engine do you guys use?English
5·1 month agoNo ai ddg has been a decent general search engine, but if I can’t find something I’ll us marginalia, mojeek, alltheinternet, and even yandex (if I’m desperate). For your research: InstallGentoo Wiki has a fairly comprehensive list of search engines albeit not the most up to date; Seirdy has a blog post reviewing many search engines including some more niche ones; and The Search Engine Map illustrates which engines use what index.
