Have none of these people watched, like, any sci-fi movie ever?
Have none of these people watched, like, any sci-fi movie ever?
and that’s a non issue nowadays.
Again, this community is delusional lol. If you consider only about 5% of Steam games being Linux-friendly these days as “a non issue nowadays,” I’d hate to see your game library.
ITT: Linux users in denial.
Linux will never be anywhere close to plug and play for anything in the way Windows is, whether we’re talking games, applications, AD, etc… At least not for a very, very long time. Windows has about 40 years of development and is tried and true by the masses worldwide. You don’t have to be a master level 1337 h4xor to do anything in Windows, while you can’t do about 70% of what you can do on Windows with Linux without being an advanced power user.
Linux is great for some stuff, but unless there’s massive upgrades to where you can just hit “install” and something installs and works without fucking around in terminal, it will never see widespread adoption. Hell, half of my users can’t even figure out how to use a goddamn Mac, and that’s much more user friendly than any Linux kernel. You guys are delusional if you think otherwise.
Also, I’ve yet to see a single Linux kernel that is aesthetically pleasing on anywhere near the level of OSX or Windows 11… Or Windows 10… Or hell, 7, 8, and Vista lmao. Looks like a potato OS that was mocked up for some shitty low budget SyFy channel movie. Every single kernel I’ve ever seen. Even the ones that supposedly are “so nice looking bro I swear it looks better than 11 bro please why isn’t anyone switching to Linux don’t you guys want to learn a programming language to play games seriously bro it’s so easy it just works bro broooo.”
Or just don’t visit websites that have DRM. Any website willing to work with Google on this DRM thing is a website I have zero desire to ever visit.
Oh great, now you’re getting emotional.
I don’t give my users a choice at work and those computers are all locked down to where they’d need an admin to install Chrome.
As far as my personal life goes, I’ve just been the go-to guy for computer questions for friends and family most of my life, so they usually listen to my advice, but it also helps to just go into detail as to why the change is necessary (not recommended, but necessary). No one likes to hear that their web browser is making it impossible to block ads and is streamlining the ad experience so they get more ads. Everyone despises ads lol.
HEY WHY DID YOU DELETE YOUR COMMENT?!
I’ve been converting folks where I can! I work in IT for a huge corporation, so our computers all come pre-loaded with Firefox set as the default browser haha.
And with you!
“Google controls 3/4 of the web, so not only am I going to roll over and take it, but I’m going to lube myself up for their convenience.”
FTFY
Get out of here with that defeatist attitude lol. There’s this little browser called Firefox. They take privacy and ad-blocking very seriously, and the browser is excellent and faster than Chrome now.
I made the switch about six months ago and never looked back, and I am deep in the Googlesphere.
With that kind of attitude, it’s a wonder no one listened to you a decade ago!
It’d be nice if there was a name for something like that.
Synced menstrual cycle?
I have two older brothers. One is an unhinged hypochondriac that’s gets off on fighting with people, and the other is a white supremacist. Haven’t talked to either in about 5 years. I have a brown daughter.
Where is the line between anime and just Japanese cartoons? Is there a difference, or are they interchangeable. I’m not an anime guy either, but Hayao Miyazaki’s films are magical. Have you watched My Neighbor Totoro yet?
Man, I fucking love that guy and what he’s been doing. Him and my governor, as well as the governor of Michigan have been having a pissing contest to see who can be the best governor, and we’re all winning.
Good. I hate sand.
Is that including Russia?
That would be awesome! I’ve got an Ender 6 with a Micro Swiss NG extruder. I was printing decently with the stock hardware, but that stock extruder was a nightmare and kept slipping or completely losing grip on filament mid-print, so I upgraded to this extruder. Now I’m just trying to find that perfect spot to where it extrudes but doesn’t grind filament. I’ve been having some really messy prints.
I just had a feeler gauge arrive in the mail, so I’m about to use that to try leveling the bed more accurately. Everyone says to just use a piece of paper or something, but different paper is different widths haha.
I do have a PEI bed, so stuff sticks and comes off way easier now, but I would love to check out your slicer settings to get a good baseline! What kind of hardware do you have, and which slicer do you use?
Personally, if there’s even a 1% chance of something killing a kitten, I don’t do that thing.
Definitely talk to your very first, if you absolutely want to give them a bath, but they clean themselves with their tongues, so absolutely not necessary whatsoever.
Gotta make sure everyone’s prepared for WW3.
