This morning I am thankful for undercover parking.

My puffer jacket isn’t uniform but I’ll be damned if I’m taking it off this morning. I’ve even recruited my under-desk heater because I couldn’t feel my feet. This is more like the Melbourne winter I remember.

There is…something nesting in the ceiling cavity above my office and work haven’t done anything about it despite knowing for months. I think it’s a rat because some of the noises I’ve heard. I’ve mostly gotten used to it now but I must be subconsciously worried about it, because last night in my dream I was at work and rats kept breaking through the plaster and dropping all over the floor.

I need extra coffee this morning.

Curse my stupid healthy sleep routine for making me miss the cool alien space junk. I’m feeling awake and refreshed, but at what cost?

You should do it! I applied for next Monday off so I can have a long weekend, it’s tough out there.

That sucks, what an archaic way to look at things. I constantly have something playing on my phone (a podcast, a TV show I’ve seen 100 times, music) as background noise, it drowns everything else out and it’s a lot easier to sink my teeth into my work. People function in different ways and they should at least try to understand that.

Ugh, that sucks. We’ve had a few things stolen before (leaving something out the front of a large apartment, within a few meters of the footpath on a busy highway, is not a safe place) so I always get packages delivered to work now. When I get packages here it’s like a little present to get me through the work day!

I am so bloody glad it’s Friday. These past few weeks at work have had me run off my feet, it feels like I’m doing the job of 3 or 4 people.

So happy we have literally nothing planned for the weekend. Just need to run a few quick errands tomorrow morning, but that’s it. I’m going full gremlin mode.

They are really great dogs! Good for apartments too. They love a cuddle on the couch more than anything, and they’re super low maintenance. We’ve had our boy for almost 10 years now and it’s the best decision we ever made, he’s added so much love to our lives 🥰

I have a really great relationship with my boss so I’m sure it will be fine! I just hate the whole process around self-scoring, having to talk yourself up, ugh.

UGHHHH I have a self review due for work today. These things are the worst.

The place is called True South 😊 A bit on the expensive side, we spent $150 for just the two of us, but the food was really good and we were very full!

Thank you everyone for the birthday love yesterday 🥰 Ended up feeling a bit down because I had an awful day at work, and on top of that I didn’t hear from any of my friends (which I’m not taking personally, but I was already in a bit of a mood lol). Husband took me to a nice Argentinian place in Black Rock for dinner and we finished with some cake at home in our PJs, so all in all it ended up being a pretty good birthday.

Today I am 32. I am properly in my 30’s now and still have no idea what I’m doing with my life!!! But it’s okay because I’m eating cake for breakfast.
