But they use lava lamps as a RNG! (oblig Tom Scott)
In deiner Haut will ich gern stecken
Was sich liebt, das darf sich lecken
Man steckt nicht drin, ist kaum zu stemmen
Ich werde mich dahinterklemmen
Sehr viel Sinn ohne Verstand
Du hast mich in der Hand
In the words of Paul Simon - when it decides to call you Betty.
Oh no!
Anway…
I’ve had it a few times, the first time was the worst because I had no idea what was going on. Didn’t have it again for about 10 years and at the time I was flying regularly so I’d take a nasal spray for the descent and also try to breathe out my ears (hold nose and mouth and blow). Only a couple of occassions since that there’s been a little, but I do get anxious at times.
I was like you, couldn’t live without gesture nav and stocking with Samsung launcher. Have now gone back to buttons and looking for a replacement. Was running Nova back on my Nexus 5 but been running stock on my phone since 2018.
I keep getting stuck here all the time.
What’s going to bake your noodle is whether you would bend the spoon if you ate the cookie.
I usually have apps take up the full screen when working - up to three displays (but sometimes even that’s not enough.
Windows 11 has basic window management functionality with Snap Layouts, but with the FancyZones power toy, you can customise the available layouts.
A Red Bull Formula 1 team themed Minecraft server?
(Christian Horner is the team principal for Red Bull Racing. And is also married to Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell).
r/formula1 is reopening as NSFW to “comply to the fullest extent of our abilities with these changes”:
Formula 1 is inherently dangerous. Crashes and injuries are not uncommon - some even with fatal results. These incidents are discussed on r/formula1, and videos, images and other media are posted following these events.
Formula 1 includes messaging and sponsors that are connected to alcohol, tobacco and gambling - all of which are legislatively prohibited or age restricted in various locations. We cannot prevent these from being displayed to underaged users, as they are incorporated in general Formula 1 imagery and content.
Formula 1 is known for, both in the past and today, to include certain risque imagery that fall within the NSFW space.
Reddit’s User Agreement states that “Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to create an Account or otherwise use the Services.” - As such it stands to reason that persons under legal age participate in r/formula1.
Switching our classification means Reddit’s age verification shields underage users from being exposed to content considered harmful.
On our breakfast TV during the news segment they touch on international markets, e.g. “the DOW is xyz”. They also have a slide on crypto and as well as listing Bitcoin and Etherium (or whatever it’s called), I still can’t believe they seriously show Dogecoin.
An office they didn’t even inhabit. Read the crazy story from someone who was there: https://mastodon.social/@rodhilton/110561579833908574
tl;dr: Twitter had plans to build out a massive office to consolidate all the small crappy offices they had in Boulder, CO. Pandemic came along. Jack Dorsey says everyone WFH permanently. Nobody thought to cancel the build. Build complete. Grand Opening (but don’t show the hundreds of empty desks). Elon acquisition. Payments not made. Court-ordered eviction of new office building that wasn’t occupied.
I’m still bitter about bloglines shutting down. I tried thisoldreader and inoreader but it never felt the same. Then I found reddit.
If you use Power Delete Suite there is the option to download your comments before editing (or just download). However it’s not great if you’ve got years of comments. If you click the download button it caps out at about 65k. But if you inspect the button the full export is available in the href so you can copy that into notepad. However the formatting is not great (CSV unfriendly characters are escaped), so it’s a bit of a clean up.
There is the alternative of requesting all your data from Reddit itself. A preview I saw from someone else shows a more extensive dataset than you get from PDS. I’m still waiting on my data request (it’s only been a day and it can take up 30 days).
