It’s not disingenuous because it’s answering what lots of right wing people say about mass shootings instead of gun control. "Why don’t we arm the teachers, why is it a gun free zone " etc. This is the answer to that question, not your statement.

Honestly, I agree to a point with them. Your other comment was vague and didn’t make a direct point, while your followup made a valid point.
Having tried to use those, my main issue was the 710 is an unreliable 2.4ghz wireless, when bluetooth controllers all worked much better for me. I couldn’t get the 710 to have reliable button presses from more than like 4 feet from my pc, so I ended up just using the 310 wired. Maybe there isn’t enough interference on the sub for that to be an issue.
As people have pointed out, they’re an advocacy group, and trying to reach less aware people. The fact that Elon banned em shows it was most likely working.

Facebook does bad spying work too, plus has run experiments on users live. Cambridge Analytica stole info for political means as well. Google, ISPs, and many other info sites collect and sell info on you, and many of them will submit info to governments when requested. X/Twitter is run by an egotistical MAGA idiot who is blocking stuff he doesn’t like but allowing Nazis to be broadcast to everyone.

Your original comment could be taken in various tones and they wanted a clarification. For what it’s worth, it is useful to some to hear it, since it could help people see differences between the US and other countries. It’s just said in a way that felt more like “Butchers don’t do this” rather than “As the contrast, I don’t see this done in my country”. Either way though, in the spirit of the question it is sorta off topic.
It’s like asking “Why does this currency have this person on it?” and getting the answer “I’ve never seen that currency used anywhere I lived.” While true, it’s not really relevant, doesn’t answer the question, and can either be taken as a long winded way to say “I don’t know” or stubborn self centered everything worth knowing is centered around your own experiences. Which is definitely reading into it too much, but there are people who act like that, either as trolls or real jingoists.
I assume I shouldn’t play Portal or retro games either? If someone is new to gaming, the whole catalog is available to them. Just because it’s old doesn’t mean it isn’t worth playing, especially since the system the mom has isn’t top of the line and may handle those games better than new ones.
Some of those curbs may also be kids, but who can tell.
That’s just your myopic opinion. Plenty of people live fulfilling lives without random chance of an early death being their meaning of living. Perhaps you’re misunderstanding my original comment. I didn’t say immortality (though several religions do promise that as an afterlife), nor did I say unlimited wishes. I mostly said stuff like fatal diseases, daily needs, and unfair deaths like genocides, etc. You added in plane crashes, which also isn’t necessary for a fulfilling life.
It sounds a bit like you’re a zero sum person, like not everyone in the world can have basic needs. As a reminder, we’re discussing this under the assumption there is a loving omnipotent we can pray to. If the world is so messed up that people can’t even expect to not die horribly of stuff that just happens to them outside their own choices, or where not everyone had an equal opportunity to just live a simple life and have their needs met, then that suggests that an omnipotent God decided to make life that way, and such a being is not deserving of my worship, and hasn’t proved their existence.

If a young single parent who is the only one who can support their child dies, at best they’re hoping for nontraumatic foster care, but in many places, including first world countries, it can mean far worse for them. Still, I’ll cede personal cancer for the sake of the overall point. That was hardly the worst issue in my comment.
If you think dying only affects yourself, then that’s already selfish, or sad. You have no family or friends who would mourn you? What if you’re the breadwinner, or you have young children? A person dying doesn’t affect only themselves.
Lots of people. You enjoy people dying for no fault of their own? I don’t need planes crashing. I don’t have a personal need of guns, and if there were no unjust threats, why is a gun necessary? As for crime, crime is really a construct based on a created morality, so that’s up in the air.
My examples were about innocent people suffering, and it feels like your response is “Who would want to live in a world where innocent people don’t suffer?” I almost think you’re joking, because that’s a seriously messed up thing to admit about yourself, much less assume everyone else agrees.
What about praying to not die of cancer or for jobs and/or places to live? Or praying for a child to live, or for no Genocide etc. Lots of nonselfish prayers out there.

True, you’d have to explain that it’s a very vague explanation, and maybe explain its a niche tool for a very specific labor force. I doubt most people have heard or care to hear a detailed explanation of NED Graphics Design and Repeat, nor its use of HASP keys, but I think saying it’s a specific tool for making patterns on clothes and I help make sure the tool works is sufficient. You or the person from a previous time may ask for more details, but especially in older times you could just say I can’t tell you more because my employers don’t want people to copy tools.
Hiding the exact details of your trade was so common back then it caused problems for apprentices, as they were often expected to learn from watching or laboring a long time rather than directly taught.
Even IT work I could just say I make and fix tools. They’re different tools, but my job is simply to make sure tools work for people who do other work, or making better tools for them to do their work.
Just the casualty rate of the perpetrator, not the victims.
