Blowing anybody up is NEVER funny. And it never will be.
There you. You can’t stop people from fighting, but we certainly can stop helping them kill each other.
And look, I get it’s a hot button issue for a lot of people. I’m not suggesting anyone is wrong for whatever side they choose. It’s too complex of an issue for my pea-brain to fully understand. What I do understand is that the US and other countries need to be working toward helping both sides find a reasonable and peaceful solution — whatever that may be (I’ll leave that to the smarter people to figure out).
Good point. I did not consider this. Thank you.
You make a terrifyingly interesting point. I did not consider this. Thank you.
I have a smart tv, washer, and dryer. None of them are connected to a network. They can’t do anything “smart” without a network. You don’t need to take apart or disconnect anything. In fact, doing so could cause problems if you nick the wrong wire or component.
Just leave it be and you should be fine.
Obligatory: this is not medical advice. This is merely my personal experiences. In fact, the only thing I will advise anyone on is that if they feel overwhelmed, they seek advice from a licensed therapist.
So I’ve had a similar problem for the past 9 years. For me, I have to come to the conclusion that I’m in a freeze-state of my dysregulated nervous system.
I’m in weekly talk therapy, and have been working on recognizing the things that have been causing me the most stress, and ways I can deal with or mitigate those things.
And that’s been all fine and good, but I still struggle with getting started on actual activity to help deal with my compounding responsibilities. It’s hard, and some days are better than others.
I used a combination of calendars and reminders to help break down and organize my tasks. I give myself grace if I can’t get them all comply when I initially wanted to finish them, and I try to do at least 2 or 3 things a day ( o matter how small).
The rights of children, especially privacy, has never been a priority for anybody except the children themselves.
This should be its own sub to be honest. I bet this would get popular fast.
I’m not terribly surprised by the mixed reactions to this comment. As an Apple person who owns several Apple products, I can confidently agree with @Random_Character_A@lemmy.world.
A lot of (not all) are elitists and cannot fathom that the quality of Apple products has significantly declined, while the pricing has significantly risen. It’s sad too, because Apple is supposed to mean top-shelf in quality.
Apple urges developers to not use DeviceCheck for anything beyond basic device verification, and if you’re a developer that’s also misusing it, then you should definitely cease that—there are probably more reliable ways to check whether it’s the same user trying to access an account from a device or not.
Sounds reasonable…
But then, why would you use it?
For example, you might use this data to identify devices that have already taken advantage of a promotional offer that you provide, or to flag a device that you’ve determined to be fraudulent.
Oh, ok. Wait, what? But…
The ram options available for this tablet are better than what the iPad had when it first came out, and are pretty on par with more modern versions. Source
The idea of using a tablet as a computer is not exactly a selling point for me. What id love to see is an app market space for tablets like this. Something that competes with Apple and Google; especially if it had a focus on home automation and security. Gaming would be a close second.
I merely meant that buying a house at a high interest rate is the irresponsible part. But yes, everything you say is true.
Activate your donkey now for $29.99/month!
My house. I bought when the rates went up, but I’m so much happier than living in an apartment.
I haven’t tried it myself, but I’ve heard coffee grounds are a good mosquito repellent. If you have access to essential oils, you should also look into citronella oil too.
Keep up the good fight!
Maybe my mosquitos are different than yours (just looked, and there are 3600 different kinds). Usually when I take my dog out so she can “commune with nature”, I’ll end up getting bit two or three times by mosquitos. I never feel them at all, except for the itchy bumps after the fact. Could be me. I only ever get bit on my legs/ankles.
As for bite time, I don’t think it’s the length of time the mosquito feeds, but the act of breaking skin and feeding. The malaria parasite will cause the mosquito to bite over and over again, which probably increases the infection rate.
I disagree because the reaction to a mosquito bite is an after effect of being bitten. By the time you realize you’ve been bitten, it’s too late. Any damage is already done. It’s also difficult to see mosquitoes, as they are small. Similar to ticks, they do not usually trigger a sensation that you would feel. The best you could hope for is to recognize and correlate the itchiness with the locations you visit, and learn to stay away from that area at certain times.
Every other week, when my kids are with their mom, I go through similar. I do have a dog, which allows me to distract myself by taking care of her. I also keep a steady list of mundane shit to do around the house to also aid with distraction. But sometimes I succumb to the sadness, and that’s when I usually go to bed.
Hey, congratulations! It takes an insane amount of insight to recognize when you have a problem, and an equal amount of courage to do something about it. Though you’ve stumbled, and probably will stumble again, it says a lot about you as a person that you have the persistence to continue trying. With those qualities, I would imagine you’ll succeed sooner rather than later, so keep it up! 😀
