as a Norse pagan, i want to kick every last one of these freaks in the dick. we need to work even harder to get these braindead removed away from our spaces. a reminder to all our other pagan friends: if you let a cockroach into your home, it will nest.
it’s an extremely good podcast, plus they lost their sources so if you’re interested in a specific part, you can read up on it. i will say that some of the episodes are hard to get through. dark humor can only help so much, lol. but it’s a great way to learn stuff you might not have been exposed to. if you’re interested in that, you also might like Blowback. first season is the Iraq War, second is the unofficial US war with Cuba.
Meclizine
Meclizine is an antiemetic that works far better than Dramamine, imo. You can find chewable tablets, but it’s far cheaper and more efficient to just get the pills. I get migraines + have IBS, so I’m constantly nauseous. (And have emetophobia, so I’ll do anything I can to avoid it.) It doesn’t make you drowsy like Dramamine might, either.

my dude, most people aren’t okay with those things… that’s the reason shelters and aid programs exist, and why people protest in the street. just because the current geopolitical system is fine with those things, doesn’t mean people are. the people ruling those systems are a very, very small percentage of the population.
correct. also daylight savings and the 12-hour clock is bullshit. we should at least have Greenwich/UTC as a secondary clock, kinda like how some regions have their own calendar and have the Gregorian calendar as a secondary.
i haven’t used Reddit since the big migration, and quit Xitter way before then. i still use YouTube a lot, but use NewPipe instead of any app or webpage. can’t stand Discord either way, but use it for a couple MMO guilds i’m in. it sucks that the shitposting scene on Masto isn’t as big as Xitter, or maybe i’m not looking in the right places. (i know jorts.horse has some good posts on their local, but i don’t wanna move from my instance.)

i had a similar experience, and now i’m permanently disabled and require a mobility aid, and i’m not even 30 yet. the thing that saved me was getting a new PCP who actually believed me and got me in for testing— apparently my lumbar vertebrae look like a crushed pop can. so much of this could’ve been avoided if i had gotten treatment early. if you can, try and find a female doctor, one kind of younger, because in my experience, they’re the ones that will actually listen to you— especially if you’re a woman, or AFAB. if there’s a disability advocacy or support group in your area, or even online, hot them up. they’ll be able to let you know which doctors to avoid, at the very least. if you live in a rural or semi-rural area, you might even have to go into the bigger cities to find a decent one. most of all, you know your fucking body. you know your lived experience. don’t let anyone gaslight you into thinking your pain isn’t real, or doesn’t matter. it’s scary and painful to try and find a decent medical provider, and it can feel like you’re stuck searching forever. but there is someone out there that’ll help you. please don’t give up looking.
i know a couple of people with health issues that make it so they can’t, so they use powder instead. Gold Bond or baby powder, usually. i think it also depends on how much you sweat.
sometimes knocking yourself out when you have sleep issues/night terrors can just leave you trapped in the nightmare. 0/10 would not recommend. there’s also a non-soporific med for nightmares that can be prescribed, but its original purpose was a blood pressure med, so it can cause fainting and dizziness :/

mid price point rice cooker. not as much of a cool/fun answer as the rest, but it lets me meal prep for days. i don’t like cooking for just myself, but it’s so easy to use that it doesn’t feel like a waste. plus i always overcook my rice on the stove 😅
