GameSpy. Finding a server you clicked with. Meeting the other players that frequented there. Joining clans and chatting it up on the forums. So much creativity flowed making banners or avatars the showed off your stats from the server and such.

Presearch. I run a node and get paid for running it. The searches are solid as well.

I just deleted my account which was over 10 years old. I don’t need that kind of negativity. Only positivity from here on out. Keep being awesome Lemmy.

I used to run 2 hp proliant servers. One Proxmox and one truenas. Now it’s just one old AMD PC running Ubuntu server with some dockers. My electric bill is thanking me. About to move it all to an Intel NUC and downsize even further.
