Isn’t like half of MS ecosystem online only, even MS Office and Teams work via browser. Everything else works out of the box on my Linux Mint ( recommended for Windows to Linux switching users with super frindly forum ) And you can always dual boot.

Hamas knew that Israel will retaliate, they placed their military activities specifically into civilian places to either prevent their opponent to fight back while they are killing them and if they fight back they have to get through Hamas’ meat shields. Palestinian knows it (you can find interviews before Oct.7th with Palestinian in Gaza agreeing with the idea) you know it, Israel knows.
Israel also knows that they have limited amount of time to eliminated as much of Hamas as possible before international community turns against them. They play with time and balance on edge.
It sucks, it’s sad and should have never happened. But it’s in no way black and white situation.
For me this works best regardless of the field

I agree with pyramid. Teaching someone else or doing it was indeed the best practice indeed anytime i wanted to learn something better.
I don’t think I missed the point though.
I’m ststating that Russians don’t seem to be directly afected aside from having their favorite EU vacation destinations accessible via France or Turkey instead directly from Moscow. It means that so called collective punishment was either ineffective or so mild, that it had almost no effect on dayly lives of citizens.
You compare this with bombing city, being cut out of water, food, medicine and energy.
If anything, Russians collectively punished Ukrainians by shelling, detroying their energy and tradic infrastructure to make winter as bad as possible for UA.
Blocking neccesities for civiliana like water is a war crime. Encircling enemy state after it lanched offensive to yours is not, otherwise e.g. allies pushing Nazis all the way back to Berlin was also crime.
This is not valid in all cases as I know multiple Russians and those living in EU continue to do so with no issue and those living in RU say it doesn’t affect them. You can even find interview with random RU citizens in RU and they all say it doesn’t affect them or that they want to attack UA BC Nato boarder is too close.
It’s what they are good at, comparing costs and maximizing profits.
They will find the way to get around it at least partially even if they have to invest into fully automatic production with limited human labor.
Managers of these companies are good at doing that and are richly rewarded for doing so. Instead of China it might be other cheap labor place like Vietnam, India or even eastern Europe.
Just take Ford as example, they made trucks in Turkey, imported trucks as passenger vehicles to get around chicken tax, de-mounted passengers seats in states to sell it as protected trucks.
Eventually they got caught. But do you think they would to this gray business if it wasn’t profitable ?
Even if we look at it as having $1.3 billion USD “loan” without a mortgage, because they eventually had to pay back these taxes, it’s still profitable because these $$$ allowed them to build more and sell more in less time + they saved costs on cheap labor.
Ain’t the chicken tax already being evaded by Ford making trucks in Turkey ?
They could but they are after maximizing profit. Why else would be corporates moving their factories to the other end of the world? To give poor people a job? Or to reduce costs because domestic labour is much more expensive?
Won’t automakers be moving their production lines aboard as result ? There are companies that moved production abroad to reduce costs or/and not have to care about working conditions. Just saying.
I’m quite surprised they actually allowed to stick unknown USB into computer they will be selling to their customers 😮
