This just made me realize that the first time I heard the term “furry” was from the network guy I used to work with 20 some years ago .

My brother is an ATC and got his first paycheck today. They left off his overtime pay, a holiday, at least 1 Sunday, and God knows what else. Also they charged him almost a week’s worth of leave which by law can’t exist in a shutdown.

I doubt it. My ex-employer used to have really expensive seats for sport events just to schmooze clients. I wouldn’t be surprised if 99% of those seats are bought by company sales people.

No, since it was my brother’s friend, I just told my brother that dude was a moron - and left it at that.

I live in Colorado where we just passed a resolution to pay for school lunches by a small tax on individuals making $300,000 or more.

I swear to God, there were a ton of people complaining about it. My favorite was a Facebook friend of my brother who posted “Why are we allowing people to vote on this who don’t make more than $300,000 a year if it doesn’t affect them? That’s not how democracy works.”
