I have a Kobo and my wife has a Kindle - I like the Kobo way better, primarily because the Kindle is trying to sell me stuff all the time.

On top of what the others have already said, I’ve tried those mobile drums pads, but sitting behind a drum set just hits differently.

Go full set. Look at something like the Alesis Niro or Alesis Surge - I used to play acoustic drums, but when we moved, I had to have e-drums due to the neighbors.

Don’t forget Bohemian Rhapsody, the all-time king of this niche.

I have e-book readers that use e-ink, and I love it. I can read books for hours and not have my eyes feel tired, that’s what it was designed for.

I don’t trust myself with my kids either since I’m a close relative, I exclusively only entrust my kids to totally random strangers off the Internet.

Half of us wouldn’t react at all… ;)
