How would that even work in another country? Wouldn’t Saudi Arabia pressure hosts for breaking blasphemy laws?

I’m confused, why are non-UK instances banning UK users? Are their admins located in the UK? Is anyone afraid of being extradited to UK because of their local laws? Do you block Saudi Arabia too because you can’t guarantee blasphemy laws are going to be upholded?

I didn’t have to scroll that far lol
reminder: these fascists assholes are not human. they give up all humanity when they actively choose to become or remain within this trump nazi cult. so when we say “nazis are not human” we are not dehumanizing them; they did it to themselves. these fuckwits need prison. all of them.
Get educated on how nazis dehumanised people so that it would make violence possible later before you go around calling people nazis. For a nazi hunter you seem to know little about nazism, or pretend not to because you’re just out for revenge.

If you’re advocating violence against people you arbitrarily deem nazis it doesn’t make you a good guy and you’re likely breaking plenty of laws regardless of jurisdiction. I’m seeing liberals advocating violence against people voting for Trump, that’s pretty dehumanising.
Fediverse does everything I require out of social media. Functionality of threadiverse is mostly there and getting better (Piefed will probably replace Lemmy as the go-to eventually), apps are better. Mastodon / microblogging was always good enough for communicating with real people, it’s when you’re an influencer you run into limitations but who cares about that. Maybe there aren’t that many people that are into this and that’s okay because we’re not a corporation that needs to report quarterly growth forever.

I use an iPhone and a Mac but I assume Android as a more open platform has even more of those.

What was the reason given for removing the post? You’re leaving out some important stuff which is a tell for shit stirrers.

PiS went through two different crises (pandemic, 2nd invasion of Ukraine) and did much better comparatively. Poland was barely touched by 2008 GFC and was lauded as island of economic growth but it was much worse time to live through because KO chose austerity rather than an actual state intervention. If we did what KO was calling for during the pandemic (rising interest rates to stem broken supply chain inflation shock) we’d be much worse.

For all the talk of how uneducated and stupid a PiS voter must be, it looks increasingly like it’s the KO voters that seem to be uneducated in matters of economy, which ultimately is the most important thing, and very easy to judge based on your own conditions.
PiS made people’s lives better. Their rule coincided with extremely prosperous time for Poland and it’s not a fluke. Contrast that with „Tusk’s green island” from the 2008 GFC times when I worked for 3.5PLN/h with no healthcare, no paid days off and no pension. Am I dumb to prefer PiS to KO? At least these guys have economists that are not economic flat-earthers like Balcerowicz.

That’s TikTok now. That’s where regular people making videos seemingly went.

If you make money on YouTube you can afford iPhone Pro probably. You probably already have one for shooting quality video because what else is there at this budget?

Going by number of features isn’t really a way to tell what’s premium. For me the bar is set really low which is not having ads, which most budget Android phones fail at.

They’ve just done this to create artificial value for the “Pro” models.
Correct. They found out professionals have money to afford premium hardware and software so you can charge them that. Perfectly reasonable way to make money, little competition in that space as opposed to general purpose budget stuff.

I rarely take 128GB worth of photos at once so background iCloud sync is fast enough so that when I take a photo on my phone it’s visible on my Mac a minute or so after that.

I’m sure we’ll find much evidence for hobbyists on Lemmy having different use cases from the general public but Apple wasn’t ever interested in supporting that niche at budget prices because there’s little money to be made there.
Regular person doesn’t need much offline storage because they download apps from the App Store, listen to music from a streaming service and sync photos to iCloud or Google Photos. Those people probably shouldn’t store their data offline either way because they won’t back it up properly. It’s another case of Apple treating general public like incompetent grannies but they’re kind of right about that.

They let iCloud do the thing. Their computers don’t have that much storage.
Saudi Arabia has plenty of soft and hard power too. Possibly more so than UK. I think we’re getting overly dramatic. UK doesn’t have enough pull to start extraditing thousands of people for not complying with their weirdo laws.
