Sustainable change is a slow process. Sometimes that process is so slow you might not see the results in your lifetime.
well since this isn’t a time sensitive issue, i guess i should just learn to be patient /s

all the more reason to get off the hamster wheel. you can live your whole life struggling and wishing and wondering on your death bed what it was all for or you can be the generation that saved the world.
but you do you.
societal collapse will be even worse for the ecosystem. we have created unspeakable machines that will unleash terrible consequences without us to properly maintain them. see nuclear reactors (which i support). there’s no ‘throw your hands up and surrender’ solution. it all requires us keeping the machine running until we can safely dismantle it. it’s possible but the means to do it is a bit nasty.
a unified, coordinated population of citizens could make big change if we wanted to. there are certainly villains, but we’re all somewhat to blame.
good people have to do bad things to make way for the next generation of good people to do good things. no one has yet to convince me otherwise. we need a reset.
all Captain Planet villains were definitely Boomers
only because the younger sociopaths haven’t been able to take the reins of power. trust me, being a piece of shit is not a generational thing. it’s a learned thing (possibly genetic), and the only way to unlearn it is to reset society.
time to make them pay. even if it doesn’t solve anything. fuck them.
it’s actually one of the best things any one of us can do. you fuckin breeders, i swear to god…
they’ll be extinct too. the conditions we’re creating affect all living creatures. letting this go on is the definition of insanity. i truly don’t understand why we, the common citizens aren’t doing whatever it takes to remove those in power who refuse to do anything about it.
while the best approach would be to remove conservatism from society by any means necessary. it’s honestly self defense now.
i’m sure he’ll claim that this is all politically motivated, and i really hope that someone says “yes it is. FAFO”.
so important to realize this. laws are just what this group of people said. another group of people say they’re this. in the end, what they do is all that matters. it’s almost like you could just skip them, grab him by the collar, and shake him down to the tune of ‘whatever it takes to make you sit down, shut up, and stop your BS’.
i knew that the owner class was the problem all along, and i knew that we needed to topple the owner class in order to utilize these things for their humanitarian benefits. i guess i naively thought people would band together for the hope of a better world. i watched the arab springs and the former soviet states and they gave me hope, but i guess the western world is too weak to do the right thing.
the more and more i watch good people do nothing and listen to arm chair commenters like yourself, the more i think that maybe we deserve this dystopia.
an unbiased mediator and administrator of resources that makes logical decisions to benefit all of humanity, able to find patterns that most humans cannot, process data in ways humans cannot, and not driven by petty human emotion? yeah, why would something like that give me hope?
all those things still have the potential to create a better world, and the problem is still the same: the owner class is using them to benefit themselves only. we have to destroy this dystopia by any means necessary. every day we don’t is another day we doom billions to suffer for the benefit of a few.
AI was supposed to save the world.
These sociopaths have taken the only hope i ever thought we had and are going to use it to screw us. I want the money changers out of the temple NOW.
every living thing is unique. every species is a marvel of evolutionary engineering. i find your answer appalling and unsympathetic to life. i sincerely hope you are just young and haven’t come to appreciate this irreplaceable beautiful orb that we live on yet.
