They will just have to create a fee to “cover the costs” of having to tell you what they are going to charge you.

Pretty similar for me, but I never did Fark. Funnily enough after digg was sold and relaunched I started using the new digg pretty regularly. It isn’t old digg, but it does find and aggregate decent news and entertainment links.
I like plugging a second wireless mouse into a coworkers computer. The secret is to be subtle about it. Just turn the mouse on and jiggle it slightly. Do that randomly over a series of days. If they don’t notice you can always get more aggressive with it.
I think many grey hairs suddenly sprouted on peoples’ heads after commenting on this thread.
Steal some of Nintendo’s branding and go with LemMiis
Music in restaurants and bars is just too loud. I know why the music is loud, but I am still going to shake my fist at it like Grandpa Simpson.
We are in an apocalypse of sorts, its just the slow motion kind that unfolds over decades, long enough for people to try to ignore it. Things get a little more hard to ignore when the sky is brown and the sun in red.
I am enjoying myself. It seems to be surprising stable so far considering. Not sure how well it is going to go on Reddit blackout day, but then Reddit used to be down all the time back in the day too.
There are some more features and things that I am sure could be implemented, but with more users Lemmy will get more people who want to work on it as well. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed with time.
On the instances side, Lemmy.ml wants to be a flagship instance, but not a general purpose instance, in spite of the fact that everyone here seems to be using it that way. Beehaw seems general interest but strongly moderated and controlled with only approved communities. I just wonder if someone will build a successful mainstream instance.
I can’t imagine most people will want to wear that headset for more than the 2 hours the battery lasts. I know I haven’t when wearing existing vr headsets. I seem to max out at about 30 minutes.
I think to get to a consumer version Apple will want to drop all of the glass and metal and go for lighter plastic instead. They need to drop the secondary outward facing screen as well for weight, battery and cost savings.
If things can get comparable to thicker framed normal glasses, that will be when VR/AR can really become mainstream.
Black on black Adidas Ultraboost 22s. They are incredibly comfortable, and look decent enough to wear with anything short of formal attire. They are similar in style and price to your Asics too.
Honestly its just my local city subreddit, and the community for my favorite 2nd tier sports team. It has barely enough users even on reddit though, so it probably won’t survive with a smaller overall user base.
I have started trying to pay more for news access the last couple years. I don’t regret that decision. Its less than I pay for streaming television.
I use Dark Reader and Ublock Origin
Firefox mostly. I want multiple rendering engines to be viable. Plus it has the plug ins I want on Android and still syncs to desktop. The one problem is chromecasting to the tv from windows. I wish there was a plug in that would let me do that.
In case you were wondering, 12,750 hours is 531 days. About a year and a half straight. If you played as a full time job 40 hours a week that is over 6 years.
The Binding of Isaac. Its hard to tell exactly, but I have about 600 hours across the versions on steam. I also have a handful of hours on 3ds and a handful of hours on Switch.
Its just a game I can keep coming back to. Every time its something a little bit different. The skill ceiling is high. The moment to moment gameplay is great. I do wish it was a touch less scatalogical just so it would be an easier recommend to others.
Not sure how they expect to get employees if they pay less and have a much worse culture (from a US perspective) compared to other similar jobs in Arizona at the likes of Intel, On semiconductor, or NXP. Try to get new grads? Hope Intel stops hiring?
If the ability to be a digital nomad had occurred earlier in my life I probably would have gone for it. Now I kind of don’t want to be away from my parents because I know they won’t be around forever. Plus I have a house and other commitments I don’t want to be away from.
I hope apple can push vr/ar forward because there is definitely something to the technology, but it isn’t there yet.
Having said that, I really wish that it is anyone other than apple and meta that find success eventually. I don’t really want to deal with either of those companies. Apple controlled vr will be expensive, closed and proprietary. Meta I have decided to give as little data to as possible.
Maybe they should focus on what their user base wants instead trying to be TikTok or whatever is hot this week.
