For what it is worth, at least for Fairphone 3 the support in, e.g., LineageOS is excellent and I recently updated to LineageOS 20 (based on Android 13).
That said, I would hope that Fairphone does make at least one more major update of their official Android version for Fairphone 3.
I’m pretty sure it is not her personal responsibility to solve the climate crisis on the behalf of the rest of humanity. That would probably be best left to various subject matter experts, which I believe she has said many times.
The only way I know of for this is to use something like git-crypt. You can, for example, have a secrets.nix
file that is encrypted in the repo but unencrypted when you do a checkout. This is trivially compatible with Nix Flakes since the file of secrets actually is in plain text on your system.
Still on 22.11 with various cherry-picked commits from unstable. Will switch to 23.05 when I have some spare time.
Blood Meridian is a pretty unforgettable read. I didn’t really know anything about it when starting it beside it being a western and known as a book worth reading. Let’s just say that it was quite different from the stereotypical western that I expected. It’ll be very interesting to see how the movie turns out.
Also read The Road a long time ago and for whatever reason I never realized that he authored them both, although I should have expected based on the bleakness of them both.
