It’s also useful for “tip of my tongue” queries, where the right Google search term is exactly what you’re missing.

All of its output is only usable and useful if you already know the facts about what you’re asking, and can double-check for hallucinations yourself.

However, on a societal scale, it’s a catastrophy on par with nuclear war.
It will consume arbitrary amounts of energy, right at the most crucial time when combatting climate change might still have been possible.
And it floods everyone’s minds with disinfo, while we’re at the edge of a global resurgance of fascism.

I miss RDP.
Preinstalled in every Windows, just allow access on the host with one click, open it, type in the IP of the remote host, and it’s like you’re on that pc. Sound, mic, camera, other devices, multiple screens, … It generally just works.

On Linux with Wayland, I don’t even know how or if it works, or how to set it up on the host machine.

Fedora Silverblue does have a terminal, but you don’t need it.
It updates by pushing the update button in the software center.
Your programs are installed as Flatpak (no idea where you get the idea that that isn’t possible without terminal). You search for them in the software center and click install.
It’s actually pretty limiting because you can’t use the terminal the way you’re used to.

Anyway, it exists. And it is a good distro, if that’s what you’re looking for.
