Libre Office then?
Libre Office then?
Definitely feels emptier than it was a few months earlier, but so far I enjoy the “I’m not just a pawn in an ocean of users” feel that Lemmy gives vs Reddit
I know I can’t escape Google’s Orwellian surveillance entirely but I limit what I can, and adblockers/ trackerblockrers play a huge part in this.
Not taking any sides here, but this could be faked so easily
Its an in house utility… But I would assume something similar already exists out there
Its a very simple low ressource video server utility that I’m using for easy access at work.
Its basically a stupid low footprint plex-like local web server that uses the browser’s internal HEVC support to play and cast to my TV.
With MS hinting at SAAS for Win12 with Copilot, this will be a good test.
Nobody can profit off “monthly usage credits” or without a subscription.
At least not until the tech becomes more affordable.
Firefox doesn’t have native HEVC support. So I switched to Opera because no other browser except for Safari has that feature.
Supposedly Edge has it, but couldn’t get it to work on my media server app.
I tried Opera on a few of my devices lately and frankly I’m impressed by the responsiveness. I still can’t get rid of Firefox but I find myself moving over to Opera more and morem
I remember buying concert tickets for me and my gf for under $20. For both.
Fuck Ticketmaster.
VLC but it wasn’t love at first sight, but it opened a whole new world of FOSS to me
To this day I still don’t know why the fuss about VLC, I prefer MPC-HC
Fuck these guys.
Please God no. I cannot fathom how people manage to hear my real voice.
I sound so much better inside my skull
Sid Meier’s Civilisation. Got me hooked like what I imagine crack cocaine and meth would do to you.
Fucked around and found out.
Why? I mean it’s much better to have the messenger app without all the facebook BS.
Its very easy to disregard facebook in 2023, but Messenger is still one of the more prominent messaging app.
I like the “never consent” feature of Ghostery (automatically declines all cookies when asked )
Does Privacy Badger have a similar feature?
I can manage to skip FB altogether, but 99% of my friends and family are on Messenger
