Pausing worked fine but the play button on my phone was completely unresponsive after. I have a hobby development project with a modest community and maintain a Discord server basically because it’s necessary in order to avoid reducing my potential community reach by at least 50%.

I’m active on GitHub and respond to comments and issues there. I maintain an official thread for my project on the official forum for the game it’s related to. I also keep all documentation, downloads, and guides off Discord and on the clearnet. Discord is still easily 80% or more of where people look for information about the project.

I dislike Microsoft and basically everything they’ve done with Windows post-7. Every machine I own that isn’t expressly for gaming is running Linux, and one of the two that are for gaming is also running Linux. When I build a new gaming tower to replace my current Windows one it will also run Linux, I just can’t be bothered to switch OSes mid-way.

And yet people using childish denigrating nicknames like this immediately makes me disinclined to engage with the conversation. I don’t understand how anyone expects to be taken seriously while throwing around schoolyard-grade name-calling like this.

I hate drive-thrus even as a driver. The intercom is always garbage, the menu is always presented in some insane arrangement that’s makes it basically impossible to peruse, paying at the window is awkward, receiving your food through the window is awkward, checking to make sure your order is correct is awkward, and to top it all off it usually takes longer than just parking and walking inside.

It is baffling to me that anyone ever willingly uses a drive-thru.

At best you’re buying into a collective agreement of ownership among those also participating in the NFT ecosystem. You own a thing because a large enough group of people agree you own it and respect the authority of that token.

I’m all for more people switching to linux, but a lot of your windows issues sound less like windows issues and more like your specific installation is messed up somehow issues.

One thing I will mention though is that Windows does have native per-application volume control, you don’t need to install EarTrumpet. You can right-click the system tray volume icon and open the mixer, or just search for “volume mixer” in the start menu.
