They were at first, and if you find someone going on about Monero they still might be, but most of the crypto bubble was the dumber, less successful finance bros trying to go to the moon or whatever. They don’t actually understand crypto, they just use buzzwords to try to sell it to people.
The idea that fascists might still be wearing America’s corpse long after it’s dead does not in fact make me feel any better. Honestly, I doubt they’ll be able to keep it together anywhere near that long, but it might last longer than I do, which is bad enough. Not that I much want to be around for the self-destruction, either.
Here’s to hoping that the Democrats can win and keep this country limping along until someone better comes around. At this point that’s the best hope this dumpster fire has left.
Ramen is most commonly sold in sealed plastic bags in America. We just cook it in a pot like any other pasta. Lots of people I know don’t own any kind of kettle. If they need to boil water a pot or the microwave both work just fine.
Personally, I like tea, but I also have an induction cooktop, so I just have a kettle for that. It’s great. All the advantages of an electric kettle without having to put an electrical appliance by my sink.
Lemmy is very much not gigantic. It has tens of thousands of acitve users. Reddit has hundreds of millions. Librewolf is even more niche than Lemmy is. Librewolf isn’t even really a browser, it’s just a small patchset for Firefox. It only has it’s own name and logo because Mozilla doesn’t like people distributing modified versions of Firefox with their branding attached. Librewolf is very cool, but jumping straight from that to full on taking Gecko maintenance on completely is just a silly idea. I hope that if Mozilla does fail someone takes over Firefox from them, but Mozilla isn’t running out of Google money any time soon, and Librewolf isn’t even likely to be who takes it over if it does happen. It’s way more likely to end up in the hands of a big Linux distro, or even a new organization formed specifically for the purpose of taking Firefox over. All this talk of Librewolf being the savior of Gecko based browsers is completely disconnected from the reality of what Librewolf is.
Librewolf is a tiny niche within a tiny niche. No one at Google has even heard of it, and they’re certainly not going to start throwing money at a tiny obscure browser fork with zero web engine development experience if Firefox dies. Librewolf is a cool project, and I will gladly recommend it, but it dies with Firefox. It only even makes sense to consider the possibility if you have absolutely no self awareness of how small of a community we are at all.

My approval is irrelevant. People do it, and people pay for it, so it deserves all the same respect and rights as any other work. No one’s value comes from my opinion of what they do to pay the bills, and it is not my place to tell people what sex “should” be.

I mean, it’s not a group famous for their high rate of desktop computer use, but the ones that do actually make that a significant part of their life tend to be pretty likely to use Linux in my experience.
All the security updates are in the microcode loaded by the bootloader even before the kernel is loaded, so unless there’s some new feature, bugfix, or hardware support you specifically know you need it’s not important to update your BIOS anyway. Which is good, because as far as I can tell you’re just screwed by a bad hardware vendor.
I suspect that with what Republicans and the Supreme Court have been doing lately independent women will show up for her in a way they didn’t for Hillary, so at least she has that going for her, but mostly I’m just hoping she doesn’t get any real challengers within the Democratic party. That could go very, very badly, and she is not guaranteed the nomination if it happens. So far so good, but there’s still plenty of time for things to go wrong.

I mean, people are complicated and different from each other. I’m sure there are lots of independents and leftists that’s all true of, and I’m sure if you looked around you could even find a few members of the Democratic Party that fit that and also are skeptical of Kamala Harris.
I think most people who are within the mainstream of the Democratic Party and also worried about Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate are likely mostly people who have let demographic polling rot their brains though. That is what I was attempting to say with my original post.

Fiber doesn’t actually have any nutritional value. It functionally just scrubs your intestines when you eat it. If you don’t have enough fiber it can cause very weird digestive issues as strange things build up in your guts.
