The nation’s two most populous states — California and Texas — grappled for political advantage in advance of 2026 elections that could reorder the balance of power in Washington and threaten President Donald Trump’s agenda at the midpoint of his second term.
Fun fact, California and NY could gerrymander a supermajority all on their own.
And at this point I hope they do, as it’s honestly the most rational course of action under the current conditions.
I don’t see how that is possible when the total number of NY+CA districts is only 78.
