My brother is an ATC and got his first paycheck today. They left off his overtime pay, a holiday, at least 1 Sunday, and God knows what else. Also they charged him almost a week’s worth of leave which by law can’t exist in a shutdown.
They completely shit the bed on this.
Well of course course. With the shutdown, the people that fix mistakes like that weren’t working. All as designed.
Some of them got side jobs, but others simply couldn’t afford the child care or gas they needed to work.
So his plan is to penalize the poor and reward the more financially affluent? Sounds on brand for him.
I never thought about that. Not paying child support is a jailable offense. Hopefully no one ended up on a jail death-loop because they couldn’t afford child support during the shutdown. What a joke of a government
Being ordered to pay support is a pretty fuck you circumstance, but one can file for a charge in circumstance.
